Hi everyone. Been on and off this site for awhile. Stepped up and became a paid member. I love overlanding for the adventure it gives me and the healthy stress relief and and ability to unwind it gives me. I have been proudly wearing overland bound stickers for a few years looking forward to installing my badges tonightView attachment 38275

Hey Everyone,

Below is a picture of my rig and my nephews. Pic is just about 2 years old, and that's probably the last time I went off-roading. Maybe 1 or 2 trips since then, but I have not camped with this vehicle since I bought it! That is a tragedy, but my wife and I are finally in a position to head out more often... as often as we can I hope.

Stats:
2001 Land Cruiser, 158k miles... only 7k are mine over the past two years!
Zero modifications, Zero experience.
We currently live in Scottsdale, AZ; she's from San Diego, CA and I grew up in Sacramento, CA.
My dream car was a Discovery and I'd love to move back to Northern California. She always wanted a Grand Cherokee and to stay in San Diego. But, we ended up getting a Land Cruiser and moving to Arizona. That's life!

I have a small YouTube channel that has mostly just been about detailing cars, but I'm looking to make it into a channel about building out this rig, our travels, and sharing what I learn along the way. Next weekend, will be our first camping trip in over two years and our goal is to get away at least one weekend a month and a couple weeks during the deathly hot Summer's here in AZ.

Hello and welcome to the OB crew..great looking Toy .looking forward to seeing your build and adventures

Hello all!

My name is Joel. I recently moved near Des Moines, Iowa this Summer from Northern CA. What a huge change! There's not many mountains in this region. And technically only one "mountain" in all of Iowa. I guess I've been living under a rock these past couple years, because I just found out about Overlanding a week ago. I own a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab Diesel that I purchased in April. It's pretty much bone stock right now, but I look forward to outfitting it with some adventure gear in the near future.

If anybody is in the area, feel free to look me up! I have a long driveway and power hookups. Plus, I always have beer in the cooler.
Hi Joel and welcome to OB! Nice rig! Safe travels and enjoy those open roads!

Hey everyone, Adam here! You also might know me as @Overland_History on Instagram or just Overland History on Facebook.

I'm from Virginia Beach, VA originally, however, I now live in Bedford, VA, where Blue Ridge Overland Gear is based. I handle all Sales and Marketing for the Company, and also run our recently opened Retail Store.

My XJ is a '94 4dr 5spd with 236K miles on it currently. You may have seen it featured in a 10 page spread of a recent issue of Tread Magazine.

Anyways, happy to be part of such a great and vast community like this one, and looking forward to meeting more members that I have yet to!

Cheers!

Hey all. My name's Matt. New to OB. Looks like lots of good rigs and expeditions (and people) to read about here. I've been camping most of my life. Went on my first "overlanding' trip with my dad in his Land Rover in 2011 and bought my 1996 Land Cruiser (4BT swapped) a few years later. I've been on two expeditions and a few short camping trips since. I'll post some trip reports shortly.

I suppose my experience level is moderate. I planned the majority of the most recent expedition, which included 5 vehicles and a dual sport motorcycle.

I stumbled across this site while I was researching options for my new, more family friendly rig - a 2017 Power Wagon. Rather than a picture, below is a video of the Land Cruiser in action:

Hey everyone, I'm super excited to have found this community! My name is Kyle and I live in Denver, CO.

Here is one of my favorite shots of my beloved Molly Brown:

She's a 2001 Toyota 4Runner Limited V6 lifted about 3 inches on Bilstein 5100s in the front and Toytec BOSSes in the back. Got her stock off Craigslist; took off her running boards and trailer hitch, painted the wheels and plastidipped the grill, threw on a roof rack, and got her lifted. She's served me well; here she is living up to her name:

I've been offroading with my dad in his own 4th Gen 4Runner for the past two or three years, but it wasn't until about 3 months ago when we picked up Molly Brown that I really took to it on my own and began delving into Overlanding. I've already lost track of the days in the mountains and nights on scenic hillsides I've spent with her (and my lovely girlfriend):

I'm really just starting to get into Overlanding as a serious hobby; up to this point I had simply made it good practice to have Molly Brown loaded up to be able to take off and spend a few days in the mountains with her and another person or two in a moment's notice. I look forward to everything I have to learn and the many adventures I have in store! Here's my favorite one so far, taking her to the top of Mt. Bross, a 14,000-foot peak here in Colorado:

Can't wait to read through every page in the forum and soak it all in!

Hello all! I am new here. I didn't really know about overloading before I bought my truck, so my rig is a bit unorthodox. I'm going to be turning my Dodge Ram 2500 diesel into my daily driver/overland camper. Excited to be here!
