Hello folks, I just signed up and am excited to learn lots from all of you in the future. Im up in Nova Scotia and my over landing weapon of choice is my 2013 Toyota FJC. Its slowly transforming into an over land rig but that will come over time, I also have a 2003 T4R which is an awesome off road adventure rig.
Im an avid outdoors person but new to over landing so lots to learn.
Cheers
Welcome Aboard GammaVenture. I spent a little time up in Nova Scotia and loved it. Beautiful coastline and country there. And That damn Moosehead Beer you got up there just kicks my ass. Took the tour at the Brewery in Halifax a long time ago.....was a blast! (Maybe it was in St. John across the Bay of Fundy from Digby, not sure.)

@GammaVenture, welcome. I was up in your territory just before Christmas as part of Toyota's #EverBetterExpedition, what a beautiful place you live in!

1) Location - CT, most of the northeast is within reach
2) Rig - 2015 subaru outback full retard edition
3) Overlanding Experience Background - Id say middle of the road intermediate
Grant! Welcome to Overland Bound. I think this must be about half a dozen forum/Facebook groups that you and I are both on. (smorris, exploring the USA in a Subaru, etc.)

Guys, @grantwilson has built what is probably the most capable 4th/5th generation (2010+) Subaru Outback on the country, if not further afield. Take a look at his web page, ExPo build thread, and videos for a sample of the extensive modifications, and what it can accomplish. Lots of folks question why not just get a Jeep, but getting 30 MPG on the way to the offload destination in extreme comfort, and then being able to play with the big boys makes that a moot question.

Glad to have you here, Grant

Welcome to the forum. I think most of us here feel the same way as you. It's all about the journey, not the destination.

@jz8t1 please start a build thread if you have more pics. I'm really digging the 80 series. Do you know what the tow weight is?

Ok, so it looks like with the tow package, it could handle a decent size travel trailer. Thanks.

Hi, this is Kody

Location: Merced, CA.
Current Vehicle: 2013 Ford F350, Crew Cab, SWR, Cab and Chassis
Overland Experience: Novice

I ordered this Ford new in June of 2013, Standard F350 with a bed deletion
( I know it's BIG, and hard to park LOL ) but, I do not plan on being parked in the city. I just now have the time to start on this Overland Expedition Truck build. Will post pictures of the progresses. This will be an on going hobby to build something fun and I will make mistakes but we will all learn. As they say " ONE LIFE , LIVE IT " Have fun now, unlike fine wine , life does not necessarily get better with age. So find your passion and do it now. I will run with anyone, anytime, any day with this Ford, only with experience will I be better.
Welcome and it doesn't matter what you drive! Definitely keep us posted on the upgrades.

There are several fun places up this way. Right now most of it is under snow but some people like that. I'm looking to to some Nevada desert runs before spring . Try to get out of the deep snow and have some fun.
