We've got our first "Meet Eat Greet and Sleep" MEGs #3 scheduled for May 5th. Should be an easy overnight trip.
We are also planning on driving out to the Northwest Overland Rally as a group. Inland Northwest Convoy.
The next Conference call is on the 21st.
I forward to seeing you on the trail.

Howdy all!

New member from Portland, OR, USA. New to overlanding but immediately got hooked after renting a jeep in Moab last summer. I have a '18 4runner and really looking forward to learning from others and exploring places not yet seen! Decent list of upgrades coming after deployment ends with a 2 week trip planned next month to break the rig in with Moab/Canyonlands, Death Valley and Mojave Road!

Hi everyone I’m Jorge. From Inverness Florida. I love overlanding I’ve done a few nice trips but haven’t been able to get out the beaten path because of the vehicles I had at the time. But did a 10k miles trip all over the west in a vw Passat and a tent with my wive. Now just bought a 2015 Jeep Jk Name Sophia. Lol and a tigermoth off-road camper by TAXA Outdoors hopefully with setup I be able to be more active in the overlanding. But it sucks to live in Florida. For overlanding. . If any of you are in the area and need help I can give you a hand Isn’t that what we are here for. ?

Hello y’all, my name is Matt and I’m in the Salinas Valley of the central coast of California. I’ve been in the off-road community, in various formats, for over 30 years, mostly in the PNW. I’m currently driving a 2016 4runner. I love to get out and explore and I’m a diehard DIY guy. Most of the mods on my rigs are hand build by me. That’s 1/2 the fun. The other 1/2 is the ability to reach remote locations of blissful solitude. Nice to meet y’all.

I have been an avid outdoorsman since I was a kid. I love to go backpacking, hiking and camping. I have always had an interest in overlanding so I decided to finally take the plunge!

-2013 F150 Fx4, 6in ProComp lift, Rancho 9000 shocks, 35x12.5X20's, tubular UCA's are a few things ive done to the truck.
-Experience, minimal. Ive always loved 4wheeling BUT have never Overlanded. I am very excited to learn from you all and I hope this is the beginning of some awesome adventures!

3) Rig: Currently a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited (XJ). Had a 1991 Toyota 4runner that finally gave up the ghost after 340k amazing miles, and before that a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ). Even though most of my overlanding is done with four wheel drive, the family 2002 Toyota Camry has been on some spectacular adventures. (I think get that from my dad, who thought a 1984 Ford Escort was capable of being an extreme off road vehicle!)
4) Overlanding Experience Background: Experienced! Grew up with a two to three week road trip every year (always camping, and often way off the beaten path). I continue to explore and camp as much as I can.

There are a number of great overlanding events occurring throughout the PNW, so I recommend checking out the Overland Bound NorthWest Region forum [link] for meetups and to get to know your “neighbors”. Events are also posted on the Rally Point system [link], so you might want to check that out as well. @Gabriel Bozeman is actively working on setting up monthly events in the North Sound area, so you might want to check that out [link]. The biggest event of the season is the NW Overland Rally in June [link]. There will be a lot of members and awesome things to see there.

Im Max I just bought a 2019 tacoma and am interested in hitting the trails and doing some overlanding in the Boise, ID area. Im new to all this and am excited to get me and my boys into it.

Hiya Max (@Rosenshredder) and welcome to Overland Bound. There are a number of members in the Boise, ID area as well as lots of opportunities to get out end explore. I recommend checking out the Overland Bound NorthWest Region forum [link] so you can check out what is going on and who is in the area. Once events are planned, they are usually posted up on the Rally Point System [link] so keep an eye on that. Coming up in June is the NW Overland Rally [link] in Plain, WA. It is a major gathering of overlanders and a great place to learn more and meet other overlanders.
