Just picked up a UZJ100 the week of Thanksgiving and I'm loving it! I sold my Tacoma to buy it since we had our first kid. The Tacoma had been built up just the way I wanted over three years so it was hard to let her go.

I've had several 4x4s, but I'm now sold on Toyota completely!
Hello and welcome to the OB crew..great looking rigs and look forward to seeing your adventures

New member here... First post... New to the "overlanding" thing unless you count all the time I spent in the grunts living out of a pack. Bought a Toyota Tacoma recently and am planning on spending some time with my 7yo Son in the boonies.

I wonder how many of the new folks (especially the Wrangler crowd) found ourselves here due to watching @Jake Wettern | iamjake 's adventure on YouTube?
Funny you mentioned that...I found Jake because of OB...the opposite of most...it was the video where he showed up at the Overland Expo and he was gifted his membership by a member. I knew then that OB members were pretty special and watching Jake and Annie was going to be fun...

My names Tony and I recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler and it has an OB badge , in researching the badge I found the site and decided to join . I kinda feel that this could be the beginning of an awesome adventure!
I live in southwestern Arizona near Bullhead City and hope there are members in the area.
I had a couple of CJ’s when I was younger but I am probably still considered a novice , hey no place to go but up , right ? Gotta start somewhere .
This is my new toy .
Looking forward to meeting members , making friends and getting dusty , lol.
Welcome to Overland Bound Tony!
Great looking Rubicon
Hope to hear more about your adventures!

Hey everyone, my names lake. Yes like the water!

Rig: 2001 4Runner sr5
Location: Palm Springs area
Experience: Pretty new, been camping many times!

My wife and I decided to pick a 4Runner and make it an adventure rig. Right now it’s pretty stock put, put some tires rims and billsteins. We are definitely looking to upgrade it we just don’t know where to start and looking for advice and friends to go explore or overland with. At the moment it’s just us out exploring and finding our own trails. We are looking to find a group to go out with.

We are currently in the market for bumpers winch rock sliders and a roof rack so if you have any advice for us we would appreciate it very much! Thanks!
Welcome to OB Lake!
Great looking Rig
Hope to hear more about your adventures!

Just picked up a well modded '15 JKUR and joined OB. I'm in the south Bay Area. No civilian overland experience, but I have some solid bushcraft and land navigation experience from my days in the Corps. Really looking forward to camping at Corral Hollow, Lake Alpine, and Strawberry Lake soon.

I have a few more Jeep mods planned, but the rig is ready to go as is.

Hey everyone, my name is Chuck. I live in NW Indiana and am new to Overlanding, but in 2016 did a three week trip out west camping out of my 2015 Toyota Tundra, and a two week trip to New England this past summer. Bought the Tundra used and the previous owner had added an ARE topper and a Topper EZLift, which raises the topper and turns the truck bed into a tent.

Welcome to OB Chuck!
Nice looking Tundra, Love the EZLift!
Hope to hear more about your adventures!

Thanks for the welcome! The last thing I needed at this point was another expensive hobby, but I used to spend quite a bit of time exploring the Pac NW logging roads so I figured I'd buy an appropriate truck now that my Son is getting old enough to enjoy it too.

The Beautiful Black HIlls of South Dakota is where I call home!

I own a 2015 Subaru CrossTrek-stock. Maybe someday I will get upgrades to get me into even more remote areas, although I have been in some pretty remote fire service roads with this and my previous Subaru Forester.

I would consider myself a Novice when it comes to Overlanding.

I work as a youth program advisor where I teach environmental education to youth in schools, libraries, and clubs.

I am also a volunteer for Pennington County Search and Rescue where I assist the community when needed for lost subjects, vehicle accidents, hiking/climbing injuries, and natural disasters. I am also a NOLS Wilderness First Responder which comes in handy in some situations.

I am a voting member of the Rapid City Urban Wildlife Committee which is a sub-committee of the Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department.

I have a little piece of heaven located in the southern Black Hills of South Dakota (shown in the picture above) where I will hopefully soon be building my home so that I can enjoy all that nature has to offer right outside my front door.

I enjoy taking drives through the Black Hills and exploring new areas and going on adventures near and far (well, mainly near, not so much far yet).

If you are in the area I'd enjoy talking with you about your adventures and letting you in on a few local areas here.

Location: St. Paul, MN
Rig: 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Eco Diesel
Overlanding Experience: Novice so far, No extreme off roading yet!
Have done lots of "Car Camping" over the years, mostly back country areas. Also "camped" out in many interesting areas while traveling around the country. When the sun is setting and the weather is getting bad you dont have many options, you have to get creative... Like a Walmart parking lot in NoWheresVille in the middle of a blizzard... Thankfully with my rig camp is anywhere I park.
Looking forward to connecting with the Overland Bound community and meeting up while on my travels. See you out there!

Hi, I'm Kyle from central Indiana. I got the overlanding / off roading bug about 9 years ago. It started with my 95' Mitsubishi Montero. That thing was a beast and always felt like I was going on a safari every time I got in it. We moved on to a 92' YJ and had a blast driving it until the frame broke. (Weird part is it handled the trails just fine with the broken frame, I didn't notice it was broken till it was time to air up the tires and go home.) Now we have a 97' Grand Cherokee and a 04' Suburban, we are very happy with both. We look forward to having adventures with our kids and meeting new friends.

Thank you to everybody that has put so much effort into this website it is awesome.
And Michael, keep making the videos on youtube they are great, we really enjoy watching them.

Hello all, I have mostly 4x4 short run experience. So I am limited to the Overland experience, especially since in the South East there is not a lot, at least that i have found yet, that i can do. I have a 2011 Ram 3500 crew cab short bed with a cummins motor. Lifted 8", 37" Nitto Tires, and a few other extras at the moment. I am current planning my first big trip for next August and looking forward to reading as much as possible to learn, prepare, and maybe try to gain some new friends, and maybe talk a few of you into joining me. Thank you all very much, and looking forward to speaking with you. I am from Columbia SC
