You quoted @Lanlubber and didn't say anything???
Must have had a mental break down here. When I use my Kendal, I often accidentally touch the screen in the wrong place and sends a message erroneously. My eye's are getting really bad too.

Why not just go with the same Cot I have then? It's 78" L x 31" W and handles me just fine. I'm 6'4" (76") tall and my weight fluctuates between 250-260. BTW, I read through a lot of reviews on a lot of Cots before I went with this one and it is a great Cot, setup and take down is super easy. I can setup the Gazelle tent and have the Cot ready to go in the tent in less than 10 minutes!

I'm still researching the cots. I wish the one you bought was a folding cot rather than a collapsing one. The folding one comes with a mattress and better storage space below but I may have to sacrifice in order to get the better size you have. Kinda leaning towards a different rig arrangement and just go to the platform bed in the LRD2 and a canopy instead of a tent. That would be the quickest way to get me on the road
even if the comforts are not as good. I hope this virus thing is over by June when I had planned to go to PNW Rally in Washington state.

How have these been holding up for yall? Super interested in longer term reviews too, if anyone has em.

I'm thinking about picking one up for the fam as we're all tall AF and more room would be nice.

I pulled the plug on the Gazelle T3 tent today. Price had jumped from $185 to $215. I bought amazons prime used but unused one for $178 + tax. Supposed to be just damaged packaging not damaged tent, so we shall see, it still is guaranteed to be undamaged.

I still haven't used mine this year... but hopefully soon!

Not the greatest pictures and pardon the mess, I stepped in to grab the 4 year old and then snapped the pics.

That’s a Disc-o-bed XL and it fits inside. You can’t put it “flush” against the wall so there’s maybe a foot and a half to two foot space next to the cots if you wanted to store stuff there.
I am very interested in the T4+ For my family of 4 ... do you have any more photos of the inside all packed out?

Also, how well does the front screen room convert into a sleeping area?

We have been using our T4 for 2 years now and it's holding up like new. We don't use it every weekend but we do use it at least 2-3 times a month. I would recommend the gazelle tents to anyone that needs a good quality ground tent.

The front room is the same dimension. The zip-up panels that cover the screen panels do sag inward a little bit so you don't have quite the distance between walls without touching. A nice feature is the backdoor means you can go out at night for calls of nature without tripping over kids in the dark.

So it does have zip up panels in the front room that close off the screens for privacy, that good news. I have not been able to find any photos, videos, or anything discussing it. Thank you

@Lanlubber I second what @Munga Brown says about the T3 and will add it is just amazingly fast to setup even the first time as long as you watched a YouTube video of it! I learned the lesson about the rain fly too LOL! Jim see below, my cot fit perfectly across the center of the tent where the walls bulge out, might have had an inch or two to spare on each end, should have paid more attention. Question, why do you have such a long cot? I'm 6'4" (76") tall and my cot is 78" x 31" and I fit on it great. Did find out due to the cot being elevated off the ground cold air does get under you and I will be ordering a pad for the cot and a new more cold proof sleeping bag! Other than that with a good pillow the cot is more comfortable than any air mattress or ground I've slept on!

So Scott, I will get my T3 on May 5th and I need to order a cot and additional pad. Which model cot did you buy.

Here you go Jim, I just use a moving blanket folded in half for the pad and it sleeps great!

Thanks Scott, I had decided you were right about the cot and the moving blanket pad. Also the floor could use another blanket to help the cold and make it easier on bare feet.
Did you get the amazon blanket or something else ?

I'm trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends on my rig. It's going to be hotter this year they say so that means heading for the hills this late in the year.

I just wrote out my list of unfinished things to do before I can go anywhere. It's pretty long yet. If things will open up a little more I might be able to get them done. If it gets into june, july or august I will probably just wait until september before I try to go anywhere other than higher altitudes.

It's been a long year for me and everything I've done or need done should have only taken a couple of months if I had the use of my legs. Thanks for all your help and advise.

I preferred the T4 Gazelle but I bought the T3 because I go solo and cant handle 70 #'s any more. Especially since I will carry it on my roof rack. Even 40 #'s is tough for me and my bad back. I think the T3 is ideal for us older guys and gals. I may use it in conjunction with a screened canopy so that I can have an area for daytime use and keep my gear out of the sun as much as possible.

Has anyone ever set up a tent camp site and then left it for a driving tour with the camp unattended. Have you ever experienced vandalism or theft when you thought you had the perfect hide away?

Commenting primarily to make sure I'm in on a group buy if something like that gets coordinated. Looking at the T4+ primarily as our current 2+ roof top tent is no longer big enough with a new kiddo.

Gazelle Tent T4 Hub First impressions.

I had originally seen Michael's T4 Hub review a year or so ago but was not in the market for a new ground tent. As luck would have it - my old reliable Coleman of over 15 years "died" when the plastic tent pole hub became too aged and brittle causing it to break. We did a quick nighttime "Kentucky Backwoods" repair with tons of duct tape and a few walmart hotdog forks as it was after dark when we arrived at the campsite. I too prefer a ground tent. Where we mostly wheel on the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, we have limited vehicle clearance space and a lot of RTT's have to be removed to use the trail. I also like to have base camp all set up and not mobile. So onward to first impressions:
1. Set up
- Quick and easy! after a long day of travelling. 90 second set up - love it!
- SImple (So simple even a caveman can do it!) Didn't even follow the destructions!
2. Spacious
- fits my Queen-sized Intex mattress with extra floor space (a tent that could accommodate that mattress was a requirement). Also I have room for my Mr Heater Buddy during some off-season camping.
- Plenty of headroom. It's easy to dress / undress change without having to lie on the mattress to do it
- Large doors - I can get in and out without having to crawl (especially helpful for those middle-of-the-night potty runs or crawling in and out while in a muddy campsite
3. Storage
- Gear Pockets on all 4 sides. I'll admit, I'm a gearhead. Cell phones, extra flashlights, pocket knives - all can find a place in one of these pockets.
- Two Gear stash areas. These are perfect for the extra sweatshirt or jacket to assist yon those midnight nature calls.
- Gear loft - another great storage option, however I removed mine to keep a lantern there or my Basecamp ceiling fan there
4. Quality
- Nylon shell quality super strong
- YKK zippers - these flow easy. Love the doors for ease of getting in and out of it as well as moving gear in and out
- Replacement parts available! The plastic hubs that had failed on my previous tent after many years of service literally made the tent worthless. Gazelle not only makes replacement parts, but their hubs are metal, not plastic
- Stake and Stake Tabs are beefy, super quality.
- Rainfly - all parts are attached to the rainfly and it's optional to put on. After too many years of camping in the pacific NW, Idaho and Montana - I add this every time. Never know when that night time storm will move through.
5. Accessories
- I added two Nite Ize Gearlines ot the inside.
- I changed out the black guy lines to reflective Hi-vis ones so I don't trip over them after local KY Bourbon Trail samplings.

So, I am quite happy with my purchase and unboxing. I chose to get mine in Sage Green which seems to be most popular. It was out of stock for many months. As soon as that option came to be available again, I made the purchase. I'm hoping to get out there and get some use out of this. Campgrounds near me still haven't opened yet. OH - has not specified, IN - May 24, and KY - June 11. It's time to get out there and I'll see you on the trail!

Cheers

THANKS FOR THE REPORT. I had already bought the T3 for myself based on all the reviews I had read. Im anxious to give it a thorough test when I can get out.
