Man that's hot!! But, I like your camp spot. From a recent trip into the north eastern Wheatbelt Region of Western Australia and on this particular day the temperature reached a balmy 48.6 degrees Celsius (119.48 degrees Fahrenheit)

Originally the weather report was for 38 degrees Celsius but they got it wrong and it is a dry heat not humid so it is bearable (just ).I don't know how you WA boys do it mate, 40 Degrees in QLD is bad enough!

Absolutely beautiful! Twin lakes holds great childhood memories of me and my dad going there on a fishing trip. Have always wanted to go back but it hasn't happened, yet. This is a tad late. Summer 2019 camping and fishing trip near Mammoth Lakes, CA. Including trips to Convict Lake south of Mammoth and Twin Lakes near Bishop. Camp spot is on BLM land about 10 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes.

We showed up about midnight to this location, set up camp and went to sleep. Woke up and realised just how close we were to the edge, thought it was just a small hill, ended up being about 200 ft drop off. Woops!Dang that is an awesome picture! I have to say one thing that comes to mind is maybe a wheel chock for that front tire :) Seems like you are on the edge there!! Really cool location.

Looks like a wonderful place to camp.Enjoying some trail running and camping in the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge in southwest Arizona. Beautiful, rugged and lonely area.

Sirius and Orion Over Mexico, Chihuahuan Desert, Mar 2019
Sirius, often the brightest star in the night sky, can be easily found in a straight line east from the three stars of Orion's belt.
This was a basecamp I set up for several weeks in the flats along the Río Bravo del Norte.
Night after night, I'd be the only person out there.
A slice of heaven on earth.
