My run from Manchester NH to Pittsburg NH running 'Byways no Highways' has been done. What a ride it is! I'd say about 25% tar, basic dirt roads, some woods roads and a couple class 6's thrown in for the fun of it. In all it took 4 days.

You want to hear more or even join me as I explore (and improve) this run further, join us at a NH Meetup!

No sure what the tnhx is? Think you're referring to NH Explore? If so, I don't know their routes, yet what I have heard they spend much more time on tar! Some of this is part of a few published routes the MotoSport guys run, balance is me exploring over the years and friends sharing their runs.

The origin of this post goes back over a year ago. Yet only 3 folks show up at any meets as of yet... If this is all the active NH Crew, so be it.

Come on NH!!! Let's get active!! There's much to explore without paying hundreds to do so! Come to a meet and let's talk some.

RJ, It's my run I'm leading, Just using the forum on ENH to let people know if they want to join (and was extending it to folks here, I just don't want to manage multiple lists). Still working on the route. Probably won't has it till Friday. And interesting comments. Not joining ENH? Issues with them? So far, I've had nothing but positive interactions. Not trying to flame, just interested in your perspective.

Not attempting to lame either. Certain there are some very good folk over there. I bucked heads a bit over routing...

Anyway. That's an area I wish to explore a bit more in depth. I also have several routes through there I wish to see and rate.
You'll see part of the Hampster Run (some very nice routes) and Flatlander (in both in blue) and some I marked out (yellow) to be explored. There's also a nice one from Peterboro to Washington I wanted this week, but Pillsbury State Park is booked... bummer. Even during the week..

Hey RJ, Saw that this morning, Nice work!

Keep me posted on the next meet up. Going back a few posts, I wanted to say, its tough for me at least. I get very little time, so as much as I would want to meet new people, its either a few days a month (if that) to get out and either plan a killer mtn bike trip or offroad/overland. So the social events take a back seat to actually getting out. Trust me, I get the let's get some people together and not have to pay, but I do see the appeal.
For that run I'm leading this Saturday, I'm up to 7 trucks but the amount of effort to map the route out and answer everyone's questions, then lead the run, oh and nobody has the same communication, so I need to use GMRS and CB. It's a lot....

I was looking at your screenshot and I'll be hitting some of the lines you have charted thru Bradford down to Henniker. Happy to catch up and discuss any of those trails/roads with you. Most are green but there are a few solid blues in there.

Goodluck on the run Saturday. Unfortunately I am working overnight Friday and Saturday so I'd be too tired. I've got to remind myself to keep checking the ENH forums as I've been so busy I keep forgetting.

Still trying to do something for VOBS, but the VT restrictions by county might bite me. I think the GF and I will just stay at her place on the VT border in NH and do day runs on the maps. Unfortunately I'll be running solo but it will be a good shakedown for my trip next month.

Oh, I just finally got the last piece of my GMRS up and running and silly me ordered an extra Midland Lip Mount if anyone needs it. I'll try to bring that to the next meeting.

Hey Kilo,

All good! I'm trying to do another one in mid-September but we'll see with the schedule.

I've boycotted the VOBS. I understand, there is a lot beyond Peter's control regarding the current restrictions but as far as I'm concerned the current "experience" of the VOBS isn't what I signed up and paid for. It is basically, show up whenever, between these dates, get a spot in a field and go out. No venders, No food, No meeting people and joining others on rides. And unfortunately, due to the way it's been handled, I won't even consider it next year.

.....
@tonyl11 My Boys and I might be interested in the mid-September run depending on the difficulty of the trails (If you don't mind a Mainer with you. What do you like for comms on your runs?

Hey Aaron,

Yeah, I'm trying to stay at Blue as the max, While I'm happy to go harder, my truck is a 2020 4 Runner, I don't mind some pin striping and scratches, I'm trying to keep actual damage to a minimum for a while....:)

I prefer GMRS, but I also have a CB and I find I typically end up running both.

Happy to have a Mainer!!
