I'm partcial to my xj, as I spent 3.5 gs on it when I purchased it . It was already modified with a decent lift and tires. Although it wasn't ideally built, it has been adequite for the past 5 years of trails. (I am constantly doing up-grades to make it a better rig). It does need work done to it from time to time, but used and new/remanufactuured parts abundent. They are extremly easy to work on. And that is the main reason I am incline to say it is such a great vehicle for a budget minded rig. All that said. If $$$$$ was not part of the equation I would be rock'n a newer Tacoma or 4 ruñner for sure.
