I'll keep my eyes open. I don't travel much up to that area, mostly OC, south and out to the mojave.Nice build thread and good looking pictures. Hopefully will run into you one of these day around OC.

Doesn't hold the wheel on, it just keeps body roll to a minimum. Have driven it on and off road for a while now and just got back from trip from So Cal to WA up the coast highway (101) and it performed perfectly. I do have heavier springs installed so that might help but I have not noticed a difference, I don't drive this as if it were a sports car either, I take my time and enjoy the ride.Terry,
I'm pretty far from being familiar with sway bars, but I'm curious as to how you like the disconnected rear sway bar for daily driving and off roading? Maybe it was bad knowledge, but someone told me you have to be careful with removing sway bars as that is a part of the assembly that holds the wheel.

With my overload springs in the back I'm slightly out of camber spec. Will eventually get some adjustable lower lateral links. Thanks for elaborating. I'm looking into the king springs as well, just as a manner to try and upgrade my suspension. Hopefully, to handle off road terrain better. I have the LP adventures 2'' kit, but I'm concerned that there's more to just swapping the springs. I often read about making adjustments because of how other components get affected because of the springs.
Have you figured out anything for the front sway bars also?

Yes when I installed mine they were able to get them within specs but I need to fix that situation. With my overload springs in the back I'm slightly out of camber spec. Will eventually get some adjustable lower lateral links.

How has the adjustment been for you looking at the iPad below dash level vs the Garmin being up closer to your line of sight in the windshield while driving?OK, next up added to my navigation. I already use a Garmin Montana that mounts on the windshield in a suction mount. Just trying a larger screen with a 9.5" iPad in a Panavise in-dash mount running Gaia. I found a arm for the mount that also is adjustable (45 degrees) so I can have it facing directly toward me or when I have navigator it can face them. Here it is

On the trail or the road I haven't noticed that much difference, the Garmin is in line of site but a smaller screen, the iPad has a much larger screen and is easier to see. I like both where they sit right now. And when I have a passenger navigating both came be seen and used by them. How has the adjustment been for you looking at the iPad below dash level vs the Garmin being up closer to your line of sight in the windshield while driving?
Would love to link my new inReach to my iPad but the difference in line of sight viewing has me a little leery. Curious as to someone elses perceptions.
Thanks. I do like the thought of a larger display and being able to see more of the terrain and BLM roads around me.On the trail or the road I haven't noticed that much difference, the Garmin is in line of site but a smaller screen, the iPad has a much larger screen and is easier to see. I had one of those in my 2008 Outback holding a 7" Garmin, and it worked great. Stayed solid on washboard roads, too. The same part wouldn't stay in the CD slot of my 4Runner at all, even with no weight on it. So, it may or may not work with your Outback configuration. I don't think it would have held the weight on a full size iPad, though. Maybe a mini.I was looking thru Amz yesterday and came across a holder that anchors in the CD slot. So 1) that may be a useful use of a yet unused piece of real estate and 2) it sits centered and just under the top of the dash, giving a slightly higher vantage point w/o blocking windshield views. At $14 and good reviews it’s worth a try. I imagine the off-road jostling, even with the relative light weight of the iPad, will give the plastic mount a good workout. We’ll see.

Yes with all the off-road vibration I did not like the mounts in the cup holder and air vent. I never saw this but I would question what damage it might do to the CD slot. I like this mount from Panavise and it was easy to install. It vibrates a little but it is not annoying.Thanks. Thanks man. Yeah the Wilco took the main hit, but I got hit hard enough to crumble the cargo area and push my rear suspension forward. Subie did its job, and I just have seatbelt bruises.Sorry to hear about your Outback @WhatTheZo but glad that you’re apparently ok.
I believe King springs have a 10% higher spring rate than Rallitek and even loaded up I never would have needed/wanted that extra 10%.
