Finally took mine out on the trail. The convenience factor is really high. Unfortunately now I realize how much my rear camera has been a crutch [emoji28].

I'll most definitely go your route on getting stiffer springs, though I usually pull off all the overlanding accoutrements unless I have a trip lined up. I can't imagine how all the other people building up their rigs using a more expensive platform deals with the $$$!

I know, these are very capable rigs. Yes that is what bothers me also, loss of the camera. I am going to try to get a convex mirror and try different locations to see if I can see better behind me, especially parking. Almost nailed a mini van this last week parallel parking, forgot how far the tire sticks off the back.

So just got a few items to help on the trail and with keeping the inside a little cleaner while hauling.

First off I cut down an old bed liner I had from my pickup to fit the back of the Subi when the seats are down. It had been sitting on the garage floor under my motorcycle when I change oil and did repairs. Sold the bike so it needed a new use. Now when I haul materials or camping gear around I can just sweep out the back with a broom. Not the prettiest but functional.

Next I know my approach and departure angles are lacking (they suck) with this model so I found a pair of bridging planks that will help get over any ditches and waterfalls I encounter. Pretty solid and weigh only 20#, so up on the rack they go. Now this opens up more trails for me to explore. Will go up to a 24" waterfall for the front and a 15" in the rear or span a 36" wide ditch. You can see the deflection is minimal when I tried them out on a curb at full span under the front of the Subi.

Next up the King Springs, but that will have to wait till after the first of the year I think. $$$$

So cut down an old bed Bed Liner.JPG liner I had for my old Dodge Dakota to help protect the rear carpet when it is loaded with the seats down. Worked pretty good at Off the Grid

Springs installed, they say 1/4" in the front and 1/2" in the rear but right now I am at another full 1". These things need to settle a bit. But I do like the ride. Anone know of chamber adjusters other than stock? When they aligned the car they said I was maxed out. I will have it redone when she sets a bit.

Yeah that’s the inch everyone talks about going away over time. Looks good man!

You can add camber bolts to the front and the only way you can help the rear is with camber lower control arms.

Thanks, I hope as it settles it will give me more adjustment again.

It will. The front will settle relatively quickly but unless you start making trips to Lowe’s for loads of pavers with your heavy friends the rear will take time.
