Enthusiast III
Bought a 1990 Jeep YJ a few years ago for my daily driver. People thought I was crazy buying an "Old" vehicle but that's what I wanted, a old 4x4 with removable top (I love warm weather) and something I could tinker with and fix most problems my self. I started looking for first gen Broncos, Scouts, FJs and older Jeeps but ended up with this one cause friend had built it for his son and he didn't like driving and old beater.
Unfortunately it's been sitting a few months as last summer I found out after it over heated the radiator fan wasn't working right, I rigged it to a toggle but I got busy and it sat, so now I'm working on getting it back on the road and looks like it needs a new head gasket. Well it will sit until April when my friend will help me tear into it.
In the mean time I'm getting parts to build it into an overland rig so I can do some this summer. I looked at buying or building a trailer but to pricy for me at the moment so I'll add a roof rack for tent, a winch and a few other cheaper mods just to get me out in the wild. The Jeep as it is now has a slight lift, 33s and custom bumpers.
I will update as parts come in and work gets done, Thanks Y'all.
