Well this will be the last post here until we get some cooler weather to get out and go camping. I have added 3 Sherpa load bars and an Overland Vehicle Systems 270 degree awning.
Well I broke down and ordered the Sherpa 56'' rails and feet for my shell and have an Overland Vehicle Systems awning enroute after watching the videos about them here. I will post once it is all here
Who makes some good options for an awning on a full size F-250 with a bed cap/camper shell?
I have mounting rails built into the camper shell for a roof rack and would love to have something that covers the back and sides of the truck .
You need to head up towards St. Elmo and turn off and head up the road for Mt. Antero. There is a Baldwin lake up there too. If there is not too much snow in the switchbacks the road used to go almost all the way to the top. Boulder Mt. is in the same area also.
Thanks. I am wishing I would have done my project in Aluminum know. The quality of wood I was able to source between Home Depot and Lowes was not really what I had hoped for. My local cabinet lumber supplier has been only working with the local cabinet shops as of late and many of us weekend...
Check out my 2017 F250 build. I did the Redarc BCDC 1240 to manage my charging of the 125 ah AGM battery. I monitor it with a Victron battery monitor with blue tooth. I am using a Blue Sea circuit breaker between the truck batteries and the BCDC 1240 and then another one between the charger...
Well I have made it to the end now it is 100 plus degrees outside. I am hopeful this has helped someone out there with their build. I should receive the Exped mondomat 10 or something like that this week as our sleeping mattress. Then it will be time to seize the moment when the temps become...
Everything is all bolted down now. Gravity water fill port is in place and the airline tracks are all bolted down. Only thing left to do is get the sink mount completed.
Oh yeah, I got the wiring done for the overhead lights that are mounted on the lift gate and those purple and black...
Thank you all for your encouragement. It has been a slow go due to work travel. I am really close to the end here now. I got the main box in the truck with the drawer fronts and electrical and plumbing all functioning. Just working on the carpeting on the decking and all of the access...
I had to order slides multiple times before I got some that would work. looks like you had better luck.
Your project is looking good.
My goal is to finish this up in the next week or so before I have to travel for work again.
I am down to the things where measure thrice cut once really counts. I got the track routered into the deck.
Here they all are in place. Next will be to install the deck in the truck and start drilling holes for the EZ lok inserts for the rails to bolt down to.
A few more things ticked off the list. Got the wing pieces in and they performed exactly as I had hoped. Now to do the layout and install on the inserts that will hold down the track in the deck.
I am using EZ lock inserts and adding a little CA glue to them for some added locking potential...
Getting on the home stretch here. Made some pretty big progress today with getting the deck cut to fit. I made a little duplicator out of a pencil and some scraps to get the contour around the edge of the bed close.
Took the piece out and then smoothed out the lines to get it to fit pretty...
Our Jeep was the same looking one. Black with the Laredo trim on it. You will be amazed at how well the grill will come back with some Flitz on it or some toothpaste and some polish.
Love the box van too. Can't wait to see where it goes.
