Yes the pickups seemed to work alright with out much problem, however the bikes spent a lot of time travelling in the back of a converted bus.

Thank you for the welcome. We did the NC500 a few years ago in the autumn to avoid the dreaded midges. As a winter trip it sound interesting, not sure my VW is suitably equiped yet for a snow trip. I'm gradually preparing it for the colder climates as our dream destination is Sweden and Norway.

I attended the Adventure Overland show in Sept held at the Stratford upon Avon Racecourse again. It's a great long weekend and the only show of its kind in the UK. This forward control Land Rover is always displayed. And this pop top from New Zealand.
