Great photos, very jealous.Preparing now on the coast of Maine for my next multi-month adventure of:
- cold weather camping down through the Appalachians
- along the Gulf coast through Cajun country
- down around to Brownsville TX and hopefully wildlife refuges and migratory bird watching
- across Texas to the borderlands
then
- wherever work and the spirit takes me
All part of exploring more in depth for articles on "South of I-10, Another America" and to continue my desert exploration documenting the Chihuahuan Desert bloom and darkest night skies in the 'lower forty-eight."
Here are images taken this year of places I'm returning to while exploring new ones.

Getting damned antsy, excited and need to stay disciplined to get things done.

Ohhh dang, just realized this might be in your regional forum and hoped I'd get back before anyone commented it. Feel free to delete or move it if you think it might encourage others to post here who aren't West Europe. Didn't meant to barge into local thread!Great photos, very jealous.
This weekend is also testing out the tent heater and awning heater for more cold weather freezing camps

Yell out when you come through South Louisiana. If I'm able to get or happen to be on a day off from work, we can try a meet up for a meal or cup of coffee. Also will be looking forward to the South of I-10 article. Interested to see if you find any cool places that we don't know about, because there really aren't many options around here. Usually have to travel to up to MS or over to Kisatchie NF for anything "close".- along the Gulf coast through Cajun country
