Rumer has it once Starlink activates their Direct To Cell service, emergency texting will be available for everyone using their standard LTE phones. They had it activated for the hurricane and from what I here it worked pretty good.
Question: what to do if broken down and no cell service?

Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Unfortunately not where I live and not where we'll be travelling all next year : (
