Tell Me About That 4 banger turbo in the Wranglers.

I've never known anyone to have one, but I have not seen nor heard anything bad about them. My understanding is that the design architecture is very similar to the 3.0 Hurricane but i do not know that to be fact. I have a 2023 Wagoneer with the 3.0Hurricane SO (420hp/469tq), and I have been...

Overland lift kits for Mojave gladiator 2022 ideas

If I'm understanding correctly you have not built the rest of the truck out yet? If that's the case I highly recommend building it out(adding more weight than you thought you would)then addressing suspension (Unless you like buying springs two or more times). I'm advising you to do exactly...

Safety Considerations for Cooking on your Rig

My last vehicle was a Gladiator with a shell on the back. Inside that shell along with my other gear was propane canisters and a 17 gallon transfer tank. I vented the tank through a charcoal canister and then out of th ebed and down.(to allow for temperature and elevation changes) it was...

    Extra weight- Better brake?

The most common and significant impingement on braking is larger(circumferential) tires, bigger tires and more weight will definitely affect braking regardless what design they are..

NPS in Utah will start citing AWD vehicles on 4WD roads…better know difference

The last group of people I trust to apply rules or regulations with wisdom commensurate to their given authority and free of personal bias is a bureaucrat in the employ of the federal Government. You of course are free to have a different opinion than I.

Anyone had problems with the stock Jeep auxiliary battery? If so, how did you fix it?

AGM, They are 3 year batteries. I got my 2020 in 2019 and sold it a month ago. I was on my 3rd set of batteries.

NPS in Utah will start citing AWD vehicles on 4WD roads…better know difference

That's right, can we get some sort of site staff or someone to contact those people and get them plumbed up?

NPS in Utah will start citing AWD vehicles on 4WD roads…better know difference

The chances of some low IQ government bureaucrat indiscriminately applying this rule while simultaneously not understanding the difference is not less than 115% Of all the vehicles on the road in 2024 described as "4 wheel drive" only a tiny fraction of them are actually "4 wheel drive". More...

Easy on/off tonneau cover for Silverado?

I just put an Oedro tri-fold hard tonneau (amazon) on my new Ram 2500. It is very well built, was ridiculously inexpensive @400, requires no drilling and removes entirely in seconds. There are a number of review videos on YouTube. I had a Gladiator with an ARE shell before this. I did not want...

Order a couple magnets and use the adhesive to attach the magnets. Someone's trophy spawn will steal them though.

Full-timers: how do you source fresh water?

I can carry 52 gallons in onboard tanks. I hit a KOA (or similar) that few crusty, hardened, rugged individualistic "overlanders" want to admit to. For about $50 I get all the electric, water, showers and bathrooms I can use. Washing machines are almost always available and save me from packing a...

Is the Overlanding community killing itself

Knowledge is like nutrition, some of the sources are so unpalatable that you are forced to seek those nutrients from another source. ExPo has some of the best imagery possible and generally engaging subject matter. Regrettably they have also become more of a product placement platform than I...
