    M416 Trailer Build

Here is the link. To make these work you will need to cut the wheel studs down and get new standard nuts to replace the original lug nuts. I have driven my trailer all over the country and these have not given my any issues. Blue Loctite helps. 2 Wheel Spacers Adapters | 5x5.5 To 6x5.5 | 2"...

    M416 Trailer Build

I use to have the same jeep. Im my opinion your going to be very limited in trailer options for the jeep. It might be advantageous for you to look at some that are built out of aluminum. Just because you have a 2000 pound towing capacity doesn't mean you could or should tow that much weight...

    M416 Trailer Build

The Canadian military also made a small trailer based off of the M416 but was built beefer and in larger numbers. Some of them made it to the USA and would be a score if you found one for sale. But it would definitely sell for a premium.

    M416 Trailer Build

To much trailer for you and most others looking for an offroad trailer to build on. It looks like your driving a YJ from your profile pic but even if you were driving a JKU it would be too much. What you want to try to find is an M416 or M100 jeep trailers. These were made for military...

    M416 Trailer Build

The trailer weighed 550lbs or so before I did anything. After upgrading everything it now weighs 680lbs. My intention was to keep it as light as possible so it is easily towed by my 04 Tacoma and does not hinder my off roading ability. They were originally built as a 1/4 ton trailer so 500lbs...

    M416 Trailer Build

Thanks. This is my first real fabrication job. You learn a lot in a little time when your actually doing it and not just thinking about it.

    M416 Trailer Build

I was thinking of doing the same thing with my pelican first aid kit. When I put the sheet metal on I think I'm going to attach it to the inside of the tailgate. That way if I want to attach another mount or have something else off the back I can just attach it to the square tubing without...

    M416 Trailer Build

Biggest hurdle completed today. I was worried about my fabrication skills and building a workable/durable tailgate. It's not going to be hefty enough to hold a tire but I'm thinking of mounting an external first aid kit in a pelican case and a fold down table on the inside . Its all down...

    M416 Trailer Build

Got a lot done today. New tires and rims on the truck so the old ones go on the trailer. Now I will be running same tires and wheel backspacing on truck and trailer. I think when its done the trailer may be more capable than the truck.

    M416 Trailer Build

I wanted to keep the original axle because the hand break and the suspension work perfectly. I decided to go with wheel adapters to change from Jeep bolt pattern to Toyota. I was a little concerned about the fit but these seem to be very well made and work as advertised. I had to cut the...

    M416 Trailer Build

Sorry I've been behind on the work on the trailer. After welding a patch for the hole in the bed the sheet metal got warped and I decided to cut it out. This was really the best way to go as it will be more durable over the long haul and give me a firm and solid base to build the tail gate out of.

    AllPro replaced with OME

I recently decide to put Timbren bump stops on my first gen Tacoma. After receiving the parts and removing the wheels I noticed my AllPro leaf springs had broken in a few places. I was not happy because these leaf springs were only on the truck for 4 years and 50K miles. This truck is used...

    M416 Trailer Build

Just picked up a 416 trailer to turn into off road trailer. It has one spot in the bed that will need to be removed and patched but everything else seems to be in good shape. Previous owner cut the the back to put tail gate in so I will have to finish that.
