Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
sorry for your troubles, but thanks for the heads up. Was considering replacing my old RTT this year and Free Spirit was at the top of my list. Following.
GCI Rockers. They make a couple of models...wife has the tall one and II have the shorter firepit rocker. I also have a set of Kijaro Duallock chairs which are quiite comfortable too.
Argleben, I developed a similar system years ago when I was motorcycle camping and carried the same system forward to my 4x4 adventures. I have a large North Face dry duffel that I keep my tent, drop cloth, Thermarest and sleeping bag & pillow. Worked great for many years.
very simple amateurish plywood build. The tailgate table is most excellent. There are severable different ones available for the Wrangler and at good prices. Only option for the GX is high quality but spendy. We use a single burner Cook Partner stove to conserve space but a backpacker Pocket...
25% off at REI.
In January I had my Winnebago Drop camper stolen, along with all my camping stuff. Slowly but surely I’ve been replacing the gear. The 2 burner stove I had was a Mr Buddy which worked pretty good, but is no longer available. I wanted a slim stove to conserve space and narrowed...
This firepit is about the size of a paint can but packs the punch of a blow torch. In a rain storm it burned for an hour and a half on half of a small Duraflame. Comes with a rack for pots and pans. Puts out a good amount heat.
Buy 2 regular RTT's. Put one on the Yukon and one on a small trailer. Added benefit of the trailer is you can put your camping gear in it.
Smiittybilt standard RTT running $1189 on Amazon now and the little trailer is around $500 at Lowes. Under $3000 for the whole setup. Or look for a used...
Did a similar system myself except the guy that gave me the plans made his out of 3/4" plywood and said to use 1/2" to cut down on the weight. I took his advice and used 1/2 and regret it. The 1/2" is warping a little whereas the 3/4" probably wouldn't. But it's 4 years old now and still works...
If you're using a 4 season tent, then a well insulated (R factor) sleeping pad plus an 850/900 fill down bag should do the trick. Camped many times in the winter in temps from 0 to 30's and never needed a heater in the tent. I had the appropriate layers and a great thermarest plus down bag. We...
1. Comfort 2. Mounted on a trailer has all your camping gear ready to go at a moments notice. 3. pitch just about anywhere. 4. And there's always that second kind of cool factor.
or the cheaper alternative...a sheet of Dow styrafoam insulation. Makes it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. No condensation . I believe it cost me $12 four years ago.
Just bought a 2021 Passport AWD for my wife 3 months ago. After going down a few local trails/NFS roads I feel it would be comfortable tackling 85% of the trails I take my GX470 down. The Passport is much more capable than I had anticipated. A slight lift and all terrain tires, set of...
We added a 3/4 " Dow insulation blue board under my Smittybilt mattress to control condensation and insulate against cold/heat. Worked like a charm and cost about $12. It's been under the mattress for 4 years now. It should take care of your problem as well.
