Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
That works, looks like I'll be the last one getting up there. There was another person from Kennewick that had RSVP'd but I haven't heard anything from him since, even sent him a DM last week and no reply. Hopefully I'm not later then 5
Thank you, it will also fit one of those 5 gal cube water containers if I don't need to bring fuel along. I did kind of screw up though, I should have put the hinge and tire on the drivers side so I could still kind of see out the back window.
Sounds good, we can run those channels on the way up and we'll try to make contact as we get closer. You and Mike D. (@PNW EXPLR ) might be getting up there about the same time if he leaves when he was wanting to. Might talk with him about possibly meeting up on the way in if times work for...
I'm good with another person coming along as long as the rest of the group is. The non-OB member that was a maybe for this trip can't make it so this would have us back to the original rig count. As for dogs bring them along, if they like to wander bring some lengths of rope for a make shift...
I never checked when I went up there, but I was told there is service up above granite lake which would only be 5-7 miles from camp... 5-7 slow, rocky, bumpy miles. But if you guys are getting there before us you'd have plenty of time to cruise up there and see if you can find service. When I...
Cell service up there is pretty limited unless you go to the top of a peak somewhere. So you would most likely have to go out to the highway and head towards Naches or Cayuse pass to find service.
Personally I like a skirted flat bed with boxes under. Makes better use of the space for storage, you can pack them full of stuff that always stays on the rig and still have the flatbed for all your other gear. If I was running a pickup for trail duty I think I would go full custom flat bed...
Is it Thursday yet??? I have no motivation to work this week, I just want to pack up and roll out to the woods. I guess since we only have 3 days before this trip we should make any last minute plans or changes if need be. I'll throw out what we got so far and some of my thoughts. Anyone...
Thank you. What you're currently doing with yours is the end goal... don't know if I'll go as far with the suspension and axle mods but 6" and 35's was what I've wanted since I started this project. But now that I'm getting things more dialed in I might be happy with 4" long arm and 33's, I...
That's as far as I got today, doesn't look like much but there is more under the bumper skin. That will be the mount for the hinge and lock. Just need to build the swing arm tomorrow, I'll probably add some type of mount for a high lift and a place to put water/gas can.
I have to stick around the farm this afternoon and be here Tomorrow but don't really have much to do so I'm gonna try to knock out a quick tire carrier swing out. Won't be anything special or too nice but something to get the tire off the roof until I build a rear bumper
Ya, even with the extension you would probably have to have the tent on it at an angle which wouldn't be very helpful for packing other stuff up there. If I ever dropped the coin on a Gazelle I would have to scrap my current roof basket and build something custom that would fit it and my cargo...
We've been eyeing the Gazelle tents lately. Right now we have a Kelty Kingdome 6, size wise it's great and it packs up small-ish. The draw back is it's still a dome tent that takes a little longer to set up and tare down. I really like how fast the Gazelle goes up but I'm not sold yet on how...
Been a while but latest up date is I got some suspension work done on the front end. Added new adjustable upper and lower CA's from Iron Rock Offroad, 3/4" leveling spacers, Rubicon express quick disconnects and some bushings. My reasoning for the the CA's was two fold, push the axle ahead for...
