Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I have spent the last couple of hours, at least, looking for info on this BLM proposal and some intelligent analysis that a lay-person can understand......it is difficult to locate on the internet!
I'd like to challenge us all here at Overland Bound to assemble usable links to info that can be...
Just a few thoughts:
1. you'll have to drill/cut the top for the Rhino Rack/GFC mount and would not with the Gobi.
2. you'll be married to the hardtop always for any use of the GFC and would not with the Gobi.
3. you'll want to check on weight limits with the Rhino (and the Gobi for that matter)...
I'll wait to see how it works, but does anyone want my Garmin, LOL! The convenience of one device is attractive as well as getting away from anything Garmin related.......IMHO.
At 6'2" and a long torso, I didn't really have any issues with the Tacoma or 4Runner seats themselves......but more so the proximity with the floor. My legs couldn't find a comfortable position on longer drives. I think seat jackers would cure or help with that. And, like @socal66 says...
Tough ask....Amazon believe it or not, ICON springs with free shipping $700 and should be there in a couple of days. Next try would be one of two shops...Moab Motorsports, or Barney Brothers in Grand Junction.
I too am on the wish list for this, at least the southern part. I have spent some time routing/mapping and planning for a several day outing that I wanted to do this year, but work is conspiring to keep this from happening so far.
I originally read this thinking it was just the rope, but am thinking it's the WINCH and the rope.....might want to clarify the title a bit for more interest.
I have looked these pics over and read the ad.....I think this is a NICE functional build with A LOT of value for the asking price! Nice work, good luck with the sale!!
