Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
There’s actually a thread on that subject somewhere. Del Albright and I had a nice discussion about it. There was no name calling and no belittling of either. Del invited me for lunch/coffee if I’m ever in the neighborhood and my welcome mat is out for him if he ever ventures to Pennsylvania.
In over 40 years of doing this I’ve never heard of the neccessity for a cut off switch for a winch. I use one of these breaker/fuses. That’s all you need. This is superwinch’s version, there are many others
Leftist? With all due respect you haven’t the ability to engage in a healthy debate. You as with most folks that are incapable of a healthy exchange of ideas resort to name calling and ranting about. I don’t care about you or your guns. I could give a shit less. However, I do find the 2nd...
Agree with all of the above. I was hesitant at first about buying their full length slimline rack until I found out that I could easily bolt anything to it. I have the rack, their awning, and their propane bottle rack, everything else I have up top is easily bolted down with regular hardware items.
7 of 8 measures passed legislation. I don’t pretend anything.. you are debating points that I’m not making. I’d be nice if you would address the facts I have passed along rather than what you somehow think that I mean. Virginia does rank 21st, well above what Wyoming ranks as far as gun owner...
I took my good old time getting back to this, as I have payed close attention to what my neighboring state is/has passed concerning gun control legislation. I'm well aware of and have been well aware of what the new Va gun laws are all about. Even Wyoming has stricter gun laws than Va, as Va...
To answer your question, yes, carry both. When the situation arises your common sense will dictate which method of extraction to be the safest method. One could write a book on all the different scenarios and still not cover them all. Winches do take special care, cleaning the line...
Defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million. CDC data.
2018 saw 127,258 rapes and 16,214 murders vs. Lightning kills an average (I couldn''t find data for 2018) of 49 people...
We use the “clean waste” tripod toilet.. my wife was sick for three days last trip out, but it didn’t stop us from primitive camping in the least. That tripod toilet works great and folds down to briefcase size ! Before that we had the 5gal bucket with snap on seat/lid.. it worked well too...
It’s in three parts.. but yes, you gotta watch to see that the left rear of the trailer is jacked up, eventually, to shove the trailer to the left, in order to back down the hill.
Troll? Hmmm, Yugo cars are junk, but I keep buying them because I’m a closeted masochist and it’s an easy way to flog myself without people noticing LOL
Running a pair of Duralast Platinum ( Johnson Control) 34r s in our cruiser. 95,000 miles, 6.5 years old, multiple draw downs on the house battery and still going strong. I recently replaced the house battery with an Optima ( Johnson Control ) 27m, not because it was needed, I just wanted to...
Very true, my hi-lift is so old that it cost me $35.. my winch? I don’t remember.. gravel roads and most people? Thank god my wife and I are not most people LOL
None of those other jacks can do this. This is a pull in; back up; switchback. We’ve encountered tight drive around ones that...
I’m in and look forward to more of your work. I’ve a YouTube channel as well, but I gave up on dedicating all the time and energy in an attempt to put out a good product. Editing alone can take hours for a 5 min vid. Hmmm, local history and wheelin. Nice
About ten years ago we were headed west and I decided to not bring ours. My wife? Bring it or I’m not going— so up it went on the racks.. 40 miles or so west of Hays Kansas, we blew a bearing on our trailer axle. Without the hi-lift I could have never swapped axles. I would have had to call a...
