Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
BTW, I posted a blog on the build if anyone is interested.

Just removed the ABS system and the LSPV (Load Sensing Pressure Valve) from the vehicle. ABS stopped working because the car was converted to Part Time, so the front sensors were not functioning. It took off 15 LB off and the vehicle actually stops now. Also it cleared up room in the engine...
We had a blast. Lived in the car for 25 days and even had hot shower. The most north was Denali Highway. Have been there with the 4 kids in our 60 Landcruiser 25 years ago to the date.

Nice rigs mate. Love the photo of the 200 climbing.
...and I thought I was the only person with this disease...

1978 FJ40 F2 engine frame off restoration. My Son drives it.

I did some yoga moves to get in there. And there is a sequence to it all. Some of the parts I had to pull out after installing. I put a newer evaporator, and the pipe that connect to it did not fit. It was from a 1995 not 1993, so the mounting hole was off by 1/8". I had to take it all...
Gutted the dash. It was a real PITA. Took 2 days to do it. Found the evaporator clogged with 30 years of dust, hair and leaves. The problem with early models is that they don't have a cabin filter, so it will eventually clog. I am looking at options to add a cabin filter . The good news is...
Well, I figured then worst then pulling the engine out is replacing a leaky front heater...
I sure hope that be able to remember how to put this back together.
Just came back from Death Valley. Got in from Goler Canyon and slept next to the cabin in the car. Night came down to the twenties. We then drove to the Racetrack and went down to the Saline Valley through Lippincott Pass. Coming out of the Valley to Big Pine was sketchy. 1 foot of ice and snow...
That is cool. I did the same in an 80 series LC. Used the rear heater hoses with a pump and a thermostat. It has 9 gallons under the car and heat to 150 F in 20 min. Compressor pumps air to push the water out. It is in the blog...
What type of 3D printer do you use? What material?
We have the Raise3D and used it a bit at work with PLA (12" x 12" x 12"). I used it to build the perimeter of the box for the electrical system. Front panel is aluminum powder coated. Also the little case that holds the thermostat circuit...
What happened to the nice boxes that were on the roof, now that you have a RTT? Do you have enough storage space? Also, do you have shots of the interior of the back? What kind of setup do you have. I am always looking for inspiration. :)
Cheers

Our 1993 80 series since 1998. Converted to turbo diesel/manual/part time 1HDFT/H151 last year with OEM lockers. Removed the two rows in the back and added a full kitchen and shower with hot water. 9 gallons of hot/9 gallons of cold water under the car instead of the spare. Circulating pump...
This weekend I used the skills taught by my grandma. Used a multi mesh tarp as material and made storage bags. Real estate is an issue in this vehicle...
Started with cross members under the headliner as support with loops for straps
and then used an old sewing machine to make these...
We have added a water treatment system in an 'home made' aluminum case. The case still needs a cover and powder coating, and will probably reside on the roof under the solar panel. It provides 1GPM of drinking water from any stream using 12VDC. 4 levels of filtering and a UV light to kill the...
