Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Just built a RTT trailer on a 4x6 carry on platform. Kinda wish I went with bigger tires, I only out 13's on there. But so far so good. Here is my build thread.

Yeah, our neighborhood is on the border of GA and TN, literally. TN side has trash pick up and recycling provided by city, GA side does not. We get a lot of white trash trash dumbpers (see what I did there) coming to our side to dump. It is a transition between suburban and rural so there are...
That is great! We do the same thing in our neighborhood in the spring.
Sadly it doesn't slow down the idiots who don't give a shit about anything but themselves. Ignorant A-holes!
SORRY, littering infuriates me.
Man, have a blast! Such an amazing part of the world.
There is TONS of dispersed camping on the north side of the Grand Canyon and all the way up to Zion.
I learned in Boy Scouts, Leave it Better Than You Found it!
Trying to instill that in my son?
Unluckily here in the south that is not a tall task, garbage everywhere!
Only Trash Litter!!
I agree about weight. I see these guys with their giant mil-spec trailers and can't seem to think that is a bit overkill and harder on their truck and MPG killers. But in the end it is lighter than your average trailer hauling firewood or a SxS. @Sonarman what does your trailer weigh with the...
Thanks Mike! Yeah, we are loving it so far.
It is an OVS Nomadic LT. It has good coverage, plenty good to cook out the back for sure. I cannot give specifics though. The awning on the back extends about 1.5' past the edge of my trailer to the passenger side, which is nice as it allows easy...
I hear you on the bleach, but I wonder how bad it actually is. In the desert urinating on the ground is damaging, but lots of people still do it. I am not married to the dilute bleach water rinse. It is a throwback to my Boy Scout days.
I like your washing system. I def. plan on using a...
Power usage sounds amazing! Like to hear that!
About the temp swing, You're right that is far from ideal. I THINK I read somewhere that there are 2 eco setting, the lowest (most energy efficient) allows the greatest swing before the fridge goes back into cool down mode. Low might be 29-39...
I am in the market too, have heard good things about IceCo. I like the VL45. $559. They use the same compressor as the big name brands allegedly. I am SOOOO ready to be done with ice and soggy wet packaging. Might have to pull the trigger before the summer season rolls in
I met a guy camping last time that had a van built out, did it himself, I was very impressed. He said he didn't even know what a jigsaw was before he did it, which made it even more impressive.
ANYWAYS, his van was almost ALL ELECTRIC. Fridge, electric Stove, small convention oven, electric...
