Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Having put 300K over three motors on one, I can tell you to replace all the lug nuts and save yourself a lot of future grief. It will always have overheating problems that you will never fix.
Frontrunner makes one of the lightest if not the lightest RTT on the market, 83 pounds. Call the Frontrunner store in Agoura California and ask for Bryan. He will spell it all out for you.
I keep two containers just for the dogs, one is for food, the other leashes, that include 2 six footers, 2 fifteen footers and one 30 footer. This box includes collasable water bowls, (2). I also now use paper plates for the food, to difficult cleaning up rubber food bowls. All have ID always on...
These are also easy to label, best money spent, has been a computer enable label printer. I have a main name, and list all items in the box. Really works well, especially if you go with someone that does not know your packing system.
I use them for every part of my camping experenice. I use two for camp kitchen, one for inside tent, one for all wash and bathroom gear, recovery, camp lights-ropes-tie downs. Since they have great tie down points, I use simple EPDM straps. That's about all it takes.
I use Frontrunner Wolf and Cub packs, as mentioned above, they are squared all the way up with no overhangs that kill space, and they stack. I mostly use the Cub packs, although smaller I prefer to have more of these, that are better organized and less sufted. They are easy to look into and find...
This is a standard ABR bracket mounted to a standard Yakima round bar. Your awning bolts right up to it. I used U clamps from Home Depot ARB OS850 Awning Bracket
My Frontrunner Slimeline II does not make a sound and I have all kinds of stuff attached to it. Something went wrong in the assembly of that rack. I have had several racks over the years, and this one is by far the best. Did you get it new or used? If you got it used I wonder if it got hit and...
I felt the boards, were the best fail safe, and I figured out a good way to carry and mount them. The air compressor is still small and reasonable to take. Really the most recent purchase of the portable power generator/battery falls into what you mention, big, heavy and what kind of bang for my...
I carry recovery boards Treads, less money than Max Traks and works just fine for my size vechile. I also carry a higher end air compressor to easily air up and down. I am not going somewhere or have the ability to go onto rocks that will get me stuck. I cannot take a change that someone with...
Can you click the linked image? it takes you right to Amazon. Also the sale price code might still be active for this. Here is the non click link cut and paste link.
So I just got one of these, will arrive tomorrow. I wanted something small and I think this will work for my needs and future solar. Single package unit with all the plub in's. Limited inverter plug use is a downside. It was on sale yesterday for less then $100.00 US.
I would agree with AWD such a Subaru, 4WD is great, but your choices are limited and ride, fuel economy suffer as a daily driver. I have 2WD and do fine, but know my limits and types of roads. I do get great gas milage and that's 95 percent of driving.
Thanks for taking the time to show/post this. I just got mine also, for all the same reasons. I could not be more pleased with it. This would not have happened without seeing your post here. It was just what I had been looking for and needed, seeing your pics really helped.
