Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Really fun place, lots to do on the trails and some obstacles to try. Just went yesterday wish I could show you around but I'll be gone the 22nd.
-Camp at Sycamore campground. More shade and bathrooms are good. They also have hot showers there. I say that because at the end of the day is a...
One thing to consider is what else are you carrying on the rack aside from boards now and in the future? If it's only the fuel and boards then the flat rotopax style is nice, keeps it low profile. If you are like me I need all the space up there so taking up 40% of the rack with boards and fuel...
Will be out there Saturday morning to a little after lunch. Its probably been a year since I've been there and my current vehicles first time. Anyways thought I share, if anyone is down there that day feel free to flag me down and say hi. Will be in light color 2001 4runner with a roof rack and...
Working on cars for a living I can tell you there has been a few times You just ask yourself...
why? Why did they do that? Wtf is wrong with you? Looked good on the CAD on your screen? Ever wonder what happens if it fails? Etc
Just give me 1 min with the team that design ______(fill in blank...
Honestly I don't think you'll run into any issues. We just see lots and lots of these vehicles due to being at a shop. So my sample group is huge and only had a handful with this problem.
Enjoy the new vehicle and have a blast! Look forward to seeing the trips and mods you will be doing...
55w VHF up top (see part of it in rear view mirror), lowrance gps on Ram Mount, and I'm holding a SAT phone they lend me for chasing the race. I also carry the small popular vhf handheld lots of members have here
Man if we all had a PTT sat phones on an average trip that be the ridiculous...
Good call, it's hard to remember all the options and packages toyota had made for certain model. Remember I work on FJ40s all the way to 2017 models. It's so much information and variance in each model I don't beet myself up for not remembering or knowing small details.
3rd gens are great...
I use the heavy duty 3 suction cup mount to hold our Lowrance gps. Like you said in the video I don't like drilling into the dash. Also when not in use I take the gps and mount out the vehicle.

- 98-99 are going to have some miles on them but anything in the 120k-180k is ok. These 3.4L are great and last a long time. See them with 200-350k miles on them often. Both our 4runners have 190k and 205k. Bought both with over 180k on them.
- they are more $ for a reason [emoji12]
- the...
I recommend you get a 4runner. Yes I'm bias (own both 3rd and 4th gen) but having worked on both for years I still say 4runner.
The 3rd gen is a great option for the size and what you get stock. This is our current offroad vehicle.
With this option:
-97-99 models you can find both auto and...
Post a pic or your truck from different angles and bumper style. Someone on here or your dedicated model forum can photoshop them to see what it may look like. Seen it done many times
