Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I just happened to be browsing the photos, and it looks like someone took a pic of the inside of your car, and I saw the lights near the shifter.
I forgot about those for that vehicle. I don't know what the threshold for that AT Oil Temp light to come on, I have no access to the manual for...
Hi Dana, do you have an automatic trans? I guess that surprises me. I would have loved to chat about this at OTG last weekend but apparently this popped up after that?
At first, can you install a trans temp gage? I don't know much about your 60 but I don't think the temp light was for the trans...
Premier Power Welder is one, there are several others that are pretty fancy.
I built a stick welder that uses pretty simple collection of welding stuff and then connects two batteries to provide power.
I've used it and although I'm a better MIG welder than stick welder, I can make stuff melt...
I'll take an older Toyota over a new Jeep any day of the week, but I'm a little biased!
A 100 series Landcruiser should be readily available, as well as a Lexus GX470. The GX is under-valued right now but won't be that way much longer when the populous figures that out.
...and when @Anchor Mtn...
Not sure if your question got answered, there can be two ways to fill. First is just use the garden hose and as it fills it pressurizes. 2nd way is to fill it from the opening, like using a funnel or something, and then pressurize it yourself with a compressor or bike pump.
edit: D'oh, didn't...
There are some projects that will never be finished, and I think that Suburban is one of them.
Sometimes I think they decide not to throw good money after bad. I thought that was cool, but silly at the same time.
...and now Ian is gone from Powerblock. Interested to see who and if they...
Nothing wrong with getting stuck, happens to the best of us!
Great learning opportunities there.
You've got the right idea though, find someone that can give you some credible advice, but most of all get out and practice.
Lot's of guys in the SF bay area that go out, I'm sure they'd welcome...
Welcome Adrian!
I've been using my WaterPort for a while now, first on my truck and soon on my trailer.
It's easy to mount, useful for a quick rinse or shower and is very reasonably priced for how useful it is.
(and watch his IG account for the occasional discount!)
Dan.
I see you posted this in a very specific forum. Have you tried posting it in the general or members forum?
I'm no expert on this forum, but it does seem to matter where you post to get the greatest exposure.
Sorry if this is elementary for you.
IG may not be the best place to ask questions, OB seems to use that as a output, not so much as chat.
You'll have more luck (some luck?) posting clear questions here I think...
I'd like to do this one more time this year, what days of the week are you thinking? Friday-Sunday thing? ...or something else.
That would be a good time of year to go for sure.
I haven't seen any info about this yet, so I thought I'd post up a plan and if anyone wants to travel with us, you'd be more than welcome.
Current plan is to collect up near LAX / Culver city / I-405 area sometime near 09:30 time frame and go north.
We are planning to meet up with some other...
Another bump if anyone is interested in a killer laptop and docking station.
I'm only trying to sell it on here, likely next week I'll have to go the Craigslist route, and I don't want to do that!
Dan.
