    Making Money with Overland Photography

The wife and I had a VERY respectable income from a side business selling LARGE limited edition scenic from 1975 to about the mid 80's. They were all shot with large format cameras and we printed and framed them. We sold through architectural firms mainly for centerpieces in conference rooms...

    Essential Solo Overland Recovery Gear

For self recovery, if you run a winch, a Pull Pal is worth a look. I get tired of digging a hole and making a dead man.

You should do fine. Just worry about the other idiots out there. By the way, Colorado has the highest percentage of uninsured motorists, so make sure you at least have the no fault medical on your insurance.

Driver common sense and experience trump any set of tires. Get out and do some slides in a parking lot until you get the feel of reacting correctly without panicing. If in doubt, slow down. I have driven in Colorado for 50 years on regular old radial tires. Never failed to get where I needed...

Too comment or not to comment! That is the question

The mask issue has been a non issue for much of Northern Colorado. The smoke from the fires means I have even been wearing a mask when driving ;-) I am a realist. I believe it only helps a little bit and it is not the answer to Covid I am almost 70 and had Covid with no issues. I wear it at...

    Anyone use POR 15?

Here in Colorado the POR15 goes chalky on bumpers and skids.

Anybody else out there do their own body work and paint their vehicles themselves?

Stupid question...so if you get a ding or scratch through the Clear coat and it gets wet. Does the paint give up? How well does it handle metalics? Sag? Flop?

Anybody else out there do their own body work and paint their vehicles themselves?

Doing/trying is how we all learned. #1 rule with bondo is to sand before it gets too hard. #2 rule with bondo, realize you are not going to get it with one application #3 rule with bondo, air tools rule.

Starlink finally stars public beta testing. Overland comms game changer?

You would need an stabilized autopositioning gimbal onboard for the antenna.
