  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    A mighty Overlanding Tyke?

I had a neighbor who had one of these in his yard, I tried buying it for 15 years, but he wouldn't part with it. Anyone ever see a 2-stroke Suzuki Jimny? Here's one from California that was up for auction, yet didn't meet the reserve which was north of $14k...

    Post shakedown trip

No matter how often I go through what I'm taking it always seems I'm forgetting something. Last weekend however I really did forget some essentials. Like cold weather gear. I knew it was going to be cold at seven thousand feet, but it didn't register until the first night when it was 28 degrees...

    Headed to the Northwest

Planning a trip in mid-August to the Pacific Northwest, Eugene Oregon for sure, may drive up the 101 from there. Looking for a few good places to camp, hike, anything a must see in the area? We'll have franken-daughter with us, so we can't go too primitive. (Teenagers!)

    Solo trek in local mountains

Only had a couple of hours last night, so headed to the local mountains for a solo trek. Decided to go ultra light and only hiked to the 7500 ft mark. 5 miles with 32oz of water and a bag of jerky. Nothing recharges the soul faster, than time alone in the woods.

    Help answering a question

I had a conversation with a person about the Overland Bound sticker at the gas station today. I was asked how many members there are? My answer was a quite a few, but I was wondering what the official answer was? I did give them an extra sticker, with the website written on the back.

    My Take on Ovelanding

My first taste of vehicle based camping, exploring is hard to pinpoint, because it always seemed to be part of my life. I’m an only child, who grew up in a small farming community in Southern California. My parents didn’t have a lot of money, but we had enough to live comfortably. We always had...

Not only are they to fun drive, with all four tires at the...
