I like the idea of an electric truck with a 300 - 400 mile range. It may not be the best vehicle for adventure travel but it would work for 75% of what I do now in my LJ. EV charging stations are popping up everywhere now. Electrify America is really gaining momentum with its network of...
I agree about Powerx addiction. I bought a bunch of connectors and a crimping tool from them. It has been so handy having them. I am trying to keep myself from going back and rewiring things I did 10 years ago.
FYI - my Goal Zero 12V regulated cable has Anderson input and both a 12V...
Great ideas for the extra insulation techniques. Here is a helpful tip for cocktail ice. I fill my yeti flask and a large Hydroflask completely with ice and place them in my cooler or fridge. Make sure the ice is not melted or wet when you put it in as you don't want it to refreeze into a big...
Buddabuda, If those are stored horizontal on your roof, how do you vent without them leaking while venting? Do you have to take them off first? Do you like them stored Horizontal? It seems they would slosh more in not full. I have been thinking about using a horizontal one for water.
The neighbor's girls named my Clifford - The Big Red Dodge but my wife and I refer to it as Ramstein.
My Jeep is just the Rubi, Jeep or sometimes Luvrokn after the vanity plate.
I haven't noticed my hood making noise but those look pretty stout. I may need to get a set. Thanks. and good luck with the build. JEEP - Just Empty Every Pocket
I haven't built one but I have used a pull-pal in a mock rescue and a buried spare tire with a real rescue. A lot of digging to bury the tire! Luckily it was in sand.
I use an Enlightened Equipment Enigma down top quilt when I sleep on an air mattress or in my hammocks. Every bit as warm as my old sleeping bags. Laying on crushed down insulation does you no good so why have it.
My Renogy 100W panel and my Goal Zero 1000 with added MPPT charge controller has powered my ARB 63 qt fridge for 5 days at a stationary campsite. The fridge was set just above freezing and the air temp was in the 80s. At the end of 5 days the battery was still at 100%. The panel would replace...
The truck has a programmer on it and a few extras. It gets a little better mileage than running stock program and has more HP with lower EGTs. The Carli suspension is a 3" lift and has Fox 2.5s at each corner. It works well on the trails but it is mostly set up more for open desert trail use...
I love my Cummins. I bought it new in early 2007 with the last of the 5.9L. Running Carli suspension system. Handles better than stock even with the 37s on it.
You mentioned replacing the ODPA. I too recommend replacing it right away. The Crown replacement unit seems to get the most votes for the one to use on the TJ forums. Use the stock sensor though. Throw the Crown sensor in with your spare parts just in case.
I love it. I really want to build a crawler. I have boats right now and can't afford it. And convincing the spousal unit that I need another hobby... Well, I just don't want to go there right now.....
That Element is nice. I already have an ARB 63qt so I am not looking to upgrade though. My fridge goes back in forth between my Jeep and my truck. When in the truck it is on a mount on the rear seat. The slide doesn't help much here as far as daily access but it does when it comes time to...
I have plugged so many tires over the years I have lost count. Lately, most have been in my wife's Evogue. Not sure where she is picking them up. The tire companies out here in CA have told her I should never plug a tire and only use a patch. I have had a patch fail but never a plug. I used...
I love their suspension. I have had it on there for over 10 years now. It is pricey but it works very well. Great group of guys working there. They will do whatever it takes to get your truck dialed in for you.
