Help me slim down my gear. Jeep JL storage issues

@Brewbud - I am looking into the down sleeping bags and doing research but i havent yet pulled the trigger on anything. Any recommendations? In terms of a shovel mount i have to think of some options in regards to that to get it out of the way. The tarp is for ground for the tent. I am picking...

    Portable Fire Pits?

I have a Camp Chef Del Rio propane pit I use at home. I have used it camping during CA fire restriction season (which is most of the year). At 29" it is OK to pack in the truck but too big for the Jeep. I want to get something similar but smaller. Tosting it with my homebrew is the only...

Help me slim down my gear. Jeep JL storage issues

You may want to look at getting some down sleeping bags or top quilts. They will compress down very small. Once compressed, 4 bags will take up less room than a single typical car camping bag. Look at mounting the shovel on the rear bumper of tire carrier. Is the tarp for the ground or...

Does any one have a zero generator and solar panel unit

I may pick up a Yeti 400 in addition to my 1000. I don't usually need the reserve power of the 1000W. The smaller size and lower weight would be nice in the Jeep.

    What is the one spice

Bourbon is a spice, isn't it? Then my own spice mix made up various spices and thrown in a shaker - chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper. ehh it varies sometimes. I assume this isn't cheating since other commercial blends are...

Does any one have a zero generator and solar panel unit

That will work great for powering the fridge. I power my ARB 63qt with my GZ 1000 minus the AC outlet to charge the GZ. If your GZ is a lithium version you will probably want to get one of their 12V regulated cables. It will allow you to use the battery to a lower voltage without the fridge...

Cottonwoody, were you out there when the earthquakes hit?

Does any one have a zero generator and solar panel unit

That is pretty good. I have a Renogy 100W panel. On a sunny day, it will usually get my Yeti1000 battery back to 100% by noon or so running my ARB 63qt. I did add the MPPT controller to it.

44qt Fridge for $60 shipped, possible scam...

I have had a scam transaction on Amazon. I had ordered a DeLorme Inreach satellite communicator. It was not any real screaming deal or anything but I needed it for a trip. It didn't show up on the day it was expected despite having a tracking number. I went online to report it to Amazon as...

Advice on power inverter and DC aux ports

I am not sure there really is a typical inverter size. It is really dependent on what you will be running. Many (most?) try to run everything from 12V so no inverter is needed. Fridges, lights, fans and such can all be found in 12V. I got by with a small 400W for years for my phone and...

Finally joined the fridge/freezer club! Costway 54qt

Renogy also makes a very thin folding Eclipse panel in addition to their thicker glass folding Eclipse panels. I bought it off Amazon for $229 w/ cheap controller ($199 no controller). The weird thing is they do not show the panel on the US Renogy site but they do on the Canadian site Renogy...

    Ordered my Flexopower Lithium444

Which fridge do you have Stickel? I think you should easily get a full night on a 400W battery. My ARB ends up at about between 80 - 120Wh overnight with the fridge empty if I can believe battery % on the goal zero read out. BTW - An empty fridge does cycle on more.

I checked out that Cigbuddy. Looks like a nice adapter to add to my growing inventory of adapters. Never know when I might need a second Anderson output

What tire pressure are you running your e rated tires at for daily driving?

I have had making one of those on my list for a long time. Always something that gets bumped ahead of it.

You can run it as you have suggested: Solar->charge controller->battery->fridge. Just make sure you charge controller for your solar system has the right type of setting for the type of batteries you are using. It is more efficient to keep the system 12V anyway. If you are using the vehicle's...

Big wheels small tires or small wheels big tires?

Small wheels with big tires. I changed my LJR over to 15" wheels with 35s. My truck has 17" wheels with 37s. Being able to air down is a huge plus where I wheel. I also prefer 8" wide wheels over 10" wide wheels.

    Power for ARB Fridge

I use a Goal Zero Lithium 1000W and a Renogy folding solar panel to power my ARB 63qt and some other items. It works very well and it is easy to move from vehicle to vehicle. The 1000W was overkill for the fridge but I like having a built-in 1500W continuous inverter. The Goal Zero doubles as...

Let's see those full size rigs - Trucks & SUV

I cut a board out of Maple for the bench seat and mounted the slide with T-nuts. The back edge of the board is straight. The front edge narrows as it approaches the doors. I have angled the slide on the board so it clears the door easier. The board is strapped down around the seat and to...
