Hmmm....I seem to be having issues uploading the .kmz file. It's small, about 25K, so well under the 7.9MB allowed file size. And it's in an allowed format, .kmz. Anyone have any ideas?
So, after having watched Michael's video (https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/creating-overland-routes-in-google-earth.4185/) on how to create trails in Google earth I had to try it...in fact trying it immediately after watching the video and as a result was up until 1:30 AM - and I had...
More than likely, yes! It's one of the easiest, and least costly upgrades to do. And it's so worth it as the lighting is improved a great deal.

Yep, those hood vents keep the engine compartment cooler, but won't do anything for engine temp. If you want to run cooler, change the temp range of the thermostat.
As for the Flowmaster, I had one on an earlier Jeep GC. Sounded very nice in idle, but never noticed improvement in gas mileage...
Self Driving Off-road Rigs? Maybe someday as this article discusses - https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/pictures/going-off-road-in-land-rovers-prototype-autonomous-vehicles/.
After reading this article it made me think about how this could impact overlanding in the future.
With things moving along...
Yes, have had a few things over the years. My first Jeep, a ZJ, I bought it used and it was solid. Got up to the mountains the first time with it after having it about a month and was driving down a dirt road. Something flew up off front left tire and really smacked the floor board to point...
For the Jeep Grand Cherokee, complete my roof rack and then design and build a single level drawer system for the back end and then a DIY water heater tank, install I CB. Then a couple trips to see how that all goes and what else I might need for that kind of stuff.
When I need new tires I'll...
That's pretty fascinating! Great pics and a great way to transport you back to overlanding at its most basic! Imagine the cars being used 100 years ago on some of these kind of roadways.
Ok, had some chuckles watching your latest video, but only because you two were in a safe place while shooting the video, and it was after your rig slid to a stop and you seemed to be reveling in the fact nothing too horrible happened!
What was the motivation for heading to Moab in winter? It...
Plug it and it'll be fine.
As for shops, could be several reasons.
First, could be trying to sell a or more tires -- for full time 4wd vehicles and tires need to be pretty close to similar.
Second, liability factor.
Third could be because they don't use plugs but rather patches that can't...
Wow! Ok, I don't mind being in the rain when overlanding, even the snow. But -7F?! That's way to cold for me! Yikes! Hope you had a great time!

410 Expedition ("Cappy" Fortin) uses something like that on his Jeep. Look him up on YouTube and in many of his videos he's got the shovel on his hood. Not certain what he's using, though.
Saw a LA Times article discussing how Mammoth Mountain is to receive up to 20 feet during this recent storm and thought some on the forums here would be interested. Here's a video from the article:
