Very nice. Love the old power wagons and 12v Cummins are my all time favorite engine. Not sure how much you know about that motor but make sure that you look into fixing the kdp (killer dowel pin) since even into 98 there were still issues with this. I had a 97 12v and miss that truck every day...
I have gone over that question a many of times lol. The original plan was to build my truck to be the sole supporter of trips. But I was going to be going mostly myself with friends in their rigs. Now that my wife's and mom's health are significantly better ..... a new plan has been born lol...
I run a bluetooth obd2 adapter with the paid version of Torque pro. I have used it for many years over many different vehicles. The nice thing about this is since it is Bluetooth install is easy and clean since everything is displayed on your phone (or tablet). The other plus is that you can...
It will probably be either king or fox since my bud can rebuild them (has rebuilt all mine in the past). I have used both in the past and had fantastic results. I also plan to go with them since i have worked on them in the past i can usually repair them in a pinch if need be. At some point i...
I do not have the kit on my truck so maybe some one else can give personal experience.
I ran into a guy not long ago while out wheeling and he had the AEV kit. He said he loved it. he did say it was the only lift he has had on the truck so did not have anything to compare to other then stock...
For myself my work is vastly phone and email dependent. Most work can be done from just my phone. When I need to do reservation work I can tether my laptop and my phone and use the data from my phone. I have though of installing a signal booster in the truck but I am currently in slow season so...
I have a collapsible saw that I use as well. Couldn't tell you about other types but mine is essentially a folding hacksaw that has multiple blade types. Believe the name was what-a-saw. Found in my grandfather's shed when clearing out their house when he moved. Not the best but has been handy...
yeah mine is a family hand me down and it has seen some rough days. I have had to rebuild this thing so many times lol. but works great if you find yourself in a pinch and need it.
New addition to the truck came in a few days ago. I have always had window vents on my vehicles and felt odd not having them, so I ordered a set for my birthday. Install was as always with these very easy. I like the look of the in channels better then the stick on ones. Just a heads up to...
Not a problem. I do carry a back up cb pictured just in case we are with people that only have cb. Sits under my backseat and rarely gets used.

Now that I have had my set up for a while I feel confident in my answer for this. My Midland is my first gmrs radio I have always had cb prior. I have ran many different cb radios and antennas over the years. That said my group of friends decided to make the switch to gmrs for better coms and...
Hey everyone. Time to bring this back to life. Sorry for no updates in quite some time life and work went into overdrive and got a bit hectic for a minute lol. Now that I have hit slow season with work some progress will begin to be made on the truck.
First update is with phone mount. For a...
Nice looking truck. Absolutely love mine. I wanted a jk but with the side job i was doing carrying ladders on a wrangler a bit difficult. And i do tow (rarely) . In the end very happy with the decision would have liked the 6foot bed but didn't want a quad cab and got used to the 5.5 need with...
I prefer galaxy over cobra. I currently have a galaxy 949 (not in rig). I have had it for about 6 years and has been flawless since day one. I like the adjustments on the galaxy's better the knobs seem to fine tune better than cobra atleast for me. I would recommend a better mic tho.

Finally got to take the truck on a shake down trip with my buddy. Well was supposed to be a trip but when you check your tent and find a masive hole in the roof you change your plans. So out to ocotillo wells it was. We stayed in my trailer by salton see and hung out for the weekend. Turned into...
Looking good. I have always wanted a diesel liberty. Fills my love of diesel and jeeps in one vehicle (both i am without now)

Man your ute looks like an amazing blank canvas. Altho I love my truck, have always been jealous the utes and trays you guys have available to you.
How have your temps been with those spots. I have heard a few guys say they had to upgrade their cooling from the lower airflow

Just remeber if you go with people that are not licensed to run on either frs channels or the frs/gmrs shared channels

I'm sure if you find thw right size you could adapt it to work. My only worry would be the construction of the furniture you get. Not sure most stuff out there now a days will hold up to the abuse of going down trails.

Small progress being made. I have temp mounted my gmrs radio in the truck, this will get permanently mounted once I can afford a new antenna (dont want to pull the console twice for one job lol) and found the place my hand held will live
Boy that shows me how much i need to clean my truck...
