We're going to be rolling out of Ripon at 1 so according to google that should put us at 8 mile road and I-5 at 1:30. Could you meet us there? I see you have HAM, we could give you a heads up...
I was able to clear up my schedule and will join the trip! My girls Lucie and Violet (13 and 10) will be joining for sure and my wife may make the trip as well. Dave, I'll meet you at Denny's at 12:30 ready to roll. Eager to see this part of the state, I've never been there.
I just spent a couple of hours trying to find a place to camp this weekend without much luck. Granted, the internet offers a lot of distractions. I own the book "Guide to California Backroads" and I appreciate that but know it contributes to trail overcrowding. Is there another place I should be...
You know, when we pulled up I was worried because there was a fair amount of people there but the trails we took were virtually empty! I think the motorcycles and side by sides use a different part of the park.
Feel free to come out anytime that works from you. I'm planning on being there from 9 to 1. Going to a place like this on a stock rig will give you a good baseline on what your rig can handle and where you should go with it next. Plus, it might surprise you and do really well! I created a Rally...
Come out to the OHV park to learn more about your vehicle and see how you and it does on some varied trails and terrain. If you have never driven your rig off-road, this is the meetup for you.View Rally Point
Looks like a great trip Dave. Thanks for the pictures. I love that what looks to be a pretty stock Chevy Tahoe/Sub?? did the trip.
Hey, with the rain finally letting up I'm planning on heading to Frank Raines OHV park in Patterson this Sunday, the 31st. It's a great place to do a shakedown of...
How is the rig doing? I'm so glad you picked this up. I tried to get my brother to buy it and he didn't want to go out to where it was located. How good is it?
Looking forward to attending this. I have a kinetic rope and soft shackles but haven't had the chance to use them yet. Thanks for organizing this. See you on Saturday.
No, I didn't do much hiking in the snow. I only had a pair of sneakers on! That area is so amazing. I just saw some guys from Overland Bound West were out exploring the Knoxville Devilhead Rd area this past weekend too. Their pictures looked amazing.
I will be sure to DM you next time I head...
I wonder if we passed each other at one point? I was all through there as well. My truck was fine in the snow but I wasn't willing to push it by myself either. Too bad we didn't connect.
