    1998 Ford F250 light duty

Keep up the good work! I enjoyed the uniqueness of that truck, as well. I also enjoy my Jeep and the fact that you don't see very many other's like mine out on the trails. Mine is a 2015 and it has served me well despite its lack of articulation.

    1998 Ford F250 light duty

They were from National Springs. Not sure the company is still around. But I installed them with the help of a buddy without too much hassle. $800 for a pair does seem reasonable. At the time (like 2001), I was hell-bent on fitting monster tires. So I got a 3" body lift on top of the 5" RCD...

    1998 Ford F250 light duty

Good plan. I did the same thing with leaf springs. After getting a 5" suspension lift, the nose was way up in the air. So I had a custom 5.5" leaf pack made to level it out. But you probably don't have that problem. It looks like your heavy duty front bumper has you sitting pretty level.

Truck looks awesome with the lift. Makes me wish I still had mine. What lift is it?

Redwoods National Park and Lassen National Park Trip, May/June 2018

Nice trip report! And good job getting the kids out there at a young age. I got to see Paul Bunyan and Babe well over 30 years ago. I'll have to see if I can dig up a photo.

Chief Products makes great stuff. What are you doing for spare tire if you're doing a drawer system?

    2015 WK2 Overland

Thanks! I have the lower front guard from Chief Products. The wheel liner tucks right into it. You can also zip tie to the guard for extra precaution. In hindsight I wish I'd have done that. After moving up to 32's, I wore a hole on each side near the front of the tire. I think the liner got...

    2015 WK2 Overland

Thanks! I don't have any experience with the AT2's. But the ATX's are supposed to be their successor. Same inner tread pattern. More aggressive outer tread. And sidewall strength of the X3. Just broke them in on the the Mojave Trail where they performed great.

    RTT storage

I had previously DESTROYED my back trying to unload the RTT with wife and daughter. Out of commission for 2 weeks. Unbelievable how painful a strained hip flexor is. Prior to that I had wanted to try some simple 2x4 ramps that I saw on the internet. You would not believe how easy this made solo...
