I know you mentioned putting it on and taking if off is not appealing. But just want to throw out there that these simple 2x4's have been a life saver for me. I can have the tent loaded SOLO and in position, ready to be bolted down in just a few minutes.

Replaced my flimsy ipad mount with a ram mount that is secured by the passenger seat bolts.

Decided to get a new ipad mount. The ipad was a little too heavy for the one I was using. So I got a ram mount that is secured by the passenger seat bolts. And it looks like I went overkill. I didn't realize how heavy duty the mount was. But at least I know the ipad will not be moving around AT...
