Ok, cool, that's right. I'm going to need to get some folding step stools to reach up top anyway, since this thing is going to get taller... should make life easier on the help too, lol (and the munchkin loves climbing into her car seat too).

They are indeed. Do I remember you saying you "protected" the rack bars with something before clamping these on? I've already scratched mine up good during the install (as I mostly had to hold it myself, my assistant wasn't as sure about what "hold it still" meant as I was, lol).

Fourtreks awning mounts came in yesterday, so got the ARB 2000 mounted and tested out. The munchkin approves. :)

Having just gotten into the overlanding idea, but having been into camping and backpacking in the past, we've started to introduce our munckin to it (she's now 2.5 yrs old). We were out for one camping trip last fall, and plan to get out much more this coming fall. She definitely enjoyed it last...

I prefer mine in my holster on my person. All the time. The idea of it bouncing around the car after an accident, or an unexpected bump doesn't appeal to me. I guess I tend to agree with the late Todd Green on this one (and so many other serious practitioners of good gun handling and shooting...
