Colorado BDR - Okay on stock 4Runner?

Thanks! Do you have any recommendations for a compressor? I've seen good reviews here for Viair, but also upvotes for anything from Harbor Freight to ARB, so big $ range there.

TJM Sliders - Anyone familiar with them?

I'm looking for a set of rock sliders for my 2018 4Runner (TRDOR KDSS). Everything seems to have super long lead times. One model I found that seems to be available is the TJM (ROCK SLIDERS TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2014+ - 4Runner 2014-Present - 4Runner - Toyota - GET 4X4 EQUIPPED | TJM USA | Overlanding...

    Rock sliders

Looking for sliders as well for a 2018 4Runner with KDSS. Everything seems to have 8 weeks lead time or more. Is anyone familiar with the TJM sliders? Not interested in heavy rock crawling... just want protection on the trails. Thanks.

Would love to. I'll let you know once our plans are set.

Colorado BDR - Okay on stock 4Runner?

Thanks. Yes, I've been thinking about the speed and any differences with the bikes. The route has 3 or 4 different options for most sections, so we might have to look into that. I did a local run (North Georgia) and pace was about 10mph on an easy Forest Road. So I'm looking closer at the BDR...

Colorado BDR - Okay on stock 4Runner?

Hey all! A few of my biker friends are heading out to do the Colorado BDR next month and have asked me to go along as their support vehicle. I have a 2018 TRD Off Road (KDSS) pretty much stock. No sliders (and nothing available on the market on short notice, as far as I can tell), winch or other...

4200 mile trek from Florida to northern Michigan and back...

This sounds like an awesome trip. That drive out of Florida on the I-75 is as boring as it gets (but I'm used to it by now). Where's that tunnel in the pics? And when did you make this trip? It's been raining cats and dogs here in GA.

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

They had to put in new sections (and new terminals) as in some areas the rodent chewed off the entire wire (I actually found the entire wire chunk stuffed behind the battery). And yes, battery was disconnected for this. However, since I bought this car (new) I've only seen one number when I...

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

So, to wrap this up... my 4Runner is back up and running. The local (one hour away) Toyota dealership (Milton Martin Toyota) did a wonderful job and had my car ready in a day. Total cost of repairs was $395, mostly labor. Now I know which extra spares I need to carry with me just in case this...

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

Well... So I could probably fix this and get the truck running again, but it would be temporary anyway. However, ToyoGuard Platinum came through and will tow the car free of charge to the nearest dealership (55 miles away). So all is well for now, and I should hopefully be back on the road by...

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

So, fixed that and same codes kept coming up. Did more looking into the engine bay and found an entire chunk of cable missing on the other side. Hypothesis now is some kind of rodent feasted on my harness last night. Oh well, time to get some more work done.

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

Thanks for bringing this up. It's a 4Runner TRD Off-Road 2018 (I thought I had been clear enough in the title - my bad for assuming so). Anyway, I'm trying to at least get the cables reconnected and see where I am after that. Can't move the vehicle for now. I will look into those manuals as well.

    [4RTRDOR2018] P0303 Code - Broken wires

So I went to fire up my truck this morning and it seemed rough. Immediately the CEL came on, along with the TRAC light and a message thar Multi-Terrain was not available. Found my ODB reader and an app and got these three codes: ============1============== P0303 Raw code: 0303 ECU: Engine...

    Fog Lights

I was going through it now, thanks. It seems the Sports are very good and the Pros insane. I don't need them to get hot, though. I may get the Sports for now - I can always convert them to rack lights later and get the Pros, I guess. Will sleep on it. Thanks!

    Fog Lights

Thanks for the H9/H11 recommendation (and the heads up on the DD sale). Are the Pros worth the extra $? Thinking of going with the Yellow Pros Fog....

    Fog Lights

So I ended up doing the H9/H11 swap mod and so far I'm happy with it. I'll try to do a comparison soon with a stock 4R. Looking into doing the high beam swap soon. Still undecided on the fog lights.
