I should be arriving sometime in the early afternoon on Friday (driving up from Miami) and setting up in the camping area. Anyone else staying for the weekend?

The dialog when downloading a map says "Position map, name then download" so I though I should be able to "position" the map by somehow manipulating the shaded square area.

I'm on Android. Samsung S21Ultra with latest OS.

Most recent version, on Android: map downloads are working, though selecting the area to download is a bit confusing. Also, downloading maps for a meetup results in a dark overlay that doesn't go away (I have to hard close the app and restart). The map, however, seems to download properly.

Reading the forums, replying, etc. has gotten significantly better in recent versions. That said, it would be amazing if the app saved our position within a thread whenever we go into a message and back to the thread. It's very confusing (and time wasting) to be thrown back at the top of a...

On GAIA, you can tap on the screen to enter Create Route mode then click on your destination and _sometimes_ GAIA will create a proper route. However, for more complicated trails it's a lot better if you click along the way you want to travel to guide GAIA to the correct route.

It's not Google Maps, but the latest version will let you search for a street address and guide you to it. It also allows you to record the track.
