I'm also interested in this. We currently have a kitchen box for camping, but there are some things that do double duty in the house. I'm inclined to have two completely separate setup (one for home/one for camping). Wondering what everyone's experience is.
Right now, our cast iron pan and...
Gazelle T4Plus here. I can fit 3 full size cots inside and still have plenty of space left. Bought a toilet seat that fits on top of a 5-gallon bucket and now have an en-suite bathroom as well.
I also have two tarps I bought at Walmart (I believe it's a 10x12 and a 12x20) and some retractable...
I recently saw a power adapter that plugs into the Tacoma rearview mirror and provides USB power to a dashcam. I was checking if the 4Runner had the same plug (it doesn't), but I noticed it does have some kind of plug (see attached pic).
Does anyone know if it's possible to draw power from...
I recently bought 3 different cots (and so far kept all 3, since each of us liked one in particular - how convenient). Anyway, here's a short list of details on each one:
Oztent King Goanna Cot - $100 + shipping from Oztent US
Packed: 43" (L) × 7" (W) × 9" (H)
Frame size: 82.5" (L) × 31" (W) ×...
I have a Joule sous-vide cooker, but there's many options. What you want is a way to control and maintain water temperature. The nice thing about the sous-vide method is that if your water is at "medium-rare" temperature, then your meat can't get cooked past that.
We're going camping this...
That's awesome. Which box is that? I have one of the black/yellow Home Depot totes and it fits great in there, along with all my BBQ and kitchen stuff.
One thing I've found very convenient on weekend outings is our SousVide cooker. Get everything cooked and ready before heading out and keep it on ice until needed. Medium-rare tri-tip ready in minutes once you have a hot fire going. And if for some reason (rain?) you can't get a fire going, you...
Once I sort out my rack situation I may look into that. However, what if it rains? Don't you end up with a wet tent?
I'm thinking of getting the LFD ruggedized crossbars and then eventually getting the 3/4 rack.
Used to have a Coleman instant tent. Although it was spacious, it leaked like it was thirsty. Returned it to Amazon after a couple of weekends.
Went for the larger Gazelle (even though each room is a bit smaller) and took it to the Everglades. Loved being able to sleep with all the windows and...
The Colemans are 75 and 81. The one in the main room, next to the King Goanna is 81".
It's a tight fit, though not as tight as the King Goanna, which extends into the other room.
I'll have more data after this weekend when we get to actually set them up in a real camping situation.
I have the T4Plus. Used it once and will use it again this weekend with the new cots we got. I'll update y'all once we get back. Attached are some pics with the cots inside, for reference:
