    Mountain biking

I've had a Thule T2 for a number of years and its very robust. Both my Parlee road bike with skinny carbon fiber rims and the 3" tires on this bike both fit (barely). My buddy has a Kuat which is lighter and more expensive. The build quality and simplicity of the 1UP is superb. I haven't...

    Mountain biking

I selected 1UP bike racks for the top of the bed rack on our ZR2. Working great so far. Access is a bit of a PITA but they're out of the way when we're pulling our trailer.

    ZR2 Overland Build

We've had our Chevy Colorado ZR2 since last fall and really love it. Will be pulling our VMI Offroad Canyon trailer with it. No plans to do any rock crawling, so keeping tires the same and no lift. Will probably add a winch and some beefier skid plate protection. Additional ground clearance...

    Camp Photos!

It's an Overland Diesel with ORII pneumatic suspension, giving it close to a foot of ground clearance. After the OE tires wore down, I replaced them with BFG KO2 LT tires. Drives like I always thought it should now. It's my wife's DD, easily fits into our heated garage, and she loves it. I...

Show Me Your Chuckboxes/Camp Kitchen Setups

Having a trailer is kind of cheating, but my wife is a great camp chef and designed our trailer kitchen with a large fridge freezer, microwave, Vitamix blender, etc. This is at a beautiful campground north of Taos where we could invite guests, but we can cook like this anywhere, and have. The...

    Coffee Set Ups

When we camp, we drink camp coffee. It's camping. At home we have a Jura Capresso superautomatic loaded with beans from the Coffee Apothecary in Taos - like everyone else. ;) .

    Mountain biking

I've got a Trek 6Fattie now, but here's a neat picture of my trailer, my old Titus mtn. bike and its designer, Travis, who now runs a drone video business. The picture is from Overland Expo West, 2015, at Mormon Lake south of Flagstaff. My trailer was one of the exhibits at the VMI Offroad...

    Snowshoeing

Not nearly enough snow in the Taos area. I've only had the snowshoes out twice.

    American Overland Adventures Colorado ZR2's

We love it. Started out looking at off-road teardrop trailers at the Overland Expo several years ago and the word "coffin" immediately came to both of our minds when we poked our heads inside. We then saw the trailers by VMI Offroad from Washington State and soon put in an order. We...

Member Introductions *NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF*

Checking in from Taos, NM here. We have access to some wonderful places for overlanding, have visited a number of places and plan to visit lots more. My wife's daily driver is a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Diesel with BFG KO2 light truck tires. I'll be selling my JK Rubicon now that my new...

    American Overland Adventures Colorado ZR2's

Looks like a solid setup. Mine is very similar but instead of a tent on top I have 1Up bike racks for our mountain bikes and an Alu-Box for storage. We have an offroad trailer for sleeping, cooking etc.
