Got a cyber monday discount on rear wheel bearings and seals for the 4runner. AND..the 20 ton press @ harbor freight and the tool on Ebay. I getting to be a big fan of Timmy the Tool Man on you tube when it comes to Toyotas.
I have a 4runner as well as a tahoe. I like both due to the enclosed bed to keep out dust and moisture however the 4runner is much smaller but as far as this conversation is going I would take the 4runner over the taco for the reason of cleanliness.
I love them. going on 4 years now on the Tahoe and they are just getting to where i want to (don't need to) replace them. This time I will get the LT instead of the p metric. I put LT's on the 4runner and I like them a lot better.
I'm thinking about a 2" lift on my tahoe using lift keys on the front and spacers on the rear (a cheap mod). Has anybody had any experience with CV problems at 2"? I have read that any more than that requires a diff drop in the front. I'm new to the forum and I'm sure this has been covered...
