    JKU lift debate

I also have the teraflex 2.5 but the rears were a little soft because I haul an expedition trailer and was getting sag. Traded out the rear sprigs for OME. Not as smooth. The teraflex is a wonderful kit however. We have installed three of these and can get it done ina couple of hours in the...

Tires - Road Comfort vs Trail Performance

I have Toyo MT on my ram and the BFG muds on my JKU. I’m coming up on tire time on the jeep and am thinking the Falken Wildpeak at3 or the Toyo AT.

Looking for GMRS vehicle antenna recommendations

We went with the 275 radios in our jeeps. Also just using the 6 inch magnetic antennas. Range and clarity are excellent. We mounted the tiny antennas to the roof racks. Clear reception out to 8 miles in hilly terrain. Have not tried further but 100% clear at 8 so I anticipate significantly more...

What are Your Favorite Overland Recipes?

Chopped japenos, onions, eggs, sausage, cheese in breakfast tacos cooked in cast iron on my old Coleman 2 burner with coffee. Standard breakfast for us. Chili or beef stew for supper. We usually make this at home and freeze it for the trip.

    My homemade trailer

almost two years ago my son, Ryan Grace, and I decided to build expedition style trailers to camp in and pull behind our Jeeps. It took about 9 months to build them on weekends in my shop. I have many pics of the builds in progress but I thought I might just post some end photos. The trailer has...

Two small cb’s. Which to choose?

I did have an external speaker originally but I had it mounted under the dash. Could not hear it. Maybe it was just the placement. Maybe I will try it again in a more open location.

Base camp shelter: standalone vs vehicle mounted?

So we started off with the sunshade with sides set up next to the trailer. And we still take it. Then we added the ARB awning and zip in room. Love it. The awning is super fast to set up. Ties securely to the ground. Is easy to adjust for rain and wind. It is light and can be set up by one person.

Two small cb’s. Which to choose?

I have a Cobra 75 as does my son. They are in our jeeps. Neither of likes them. Very difficult to get quality sound. We both have Uniden520XL radios in our rams and they are great. Good sound. Easy to work. Not as nice a mic as on the Cobra. Both of us use the cobras a lot on long camping...

    Calling All Jeeps!

Thanks! Yes my son Ryan Grace and I like to build/fabricate so we actually built 2 of these trailers at the same time. Mine is tan monstaliner and his is red. We have hauled them all over the southwest and so far they are great. I will post some pics in the trailer section soon. The interiors...

    Calling All Jeeps!
