Awesome. Thanks @Clifford Zwiercan
I take my truck on tight trails often. Sometimes I get real tight between trees, that isn't fun...but branches or bushes are fine.
Interesting. The d100 designation was actually dropped in 81 I believe. Very interesting.
Unfortunately I do not on this phone. The yellow truck I had had a tan seat from a 96 in it.
It worked very well. It kinda put you up a little bit and centered better in the windshield which helped...
Awesome. Makes complete sense.
Millheim seems to get mentioned alot in the blogs I have read.
I was thinking the trip could start at 80 and go south...but I see your reasoning now. That makes perfect sense.
Will be interested to hear about getting your trailer into sites. Thanks for...
Obviusly, I am driving a full figured truck. But, I have so many scratches and dings on it that pinstripes do not matter.
Is it tight, because of branches and bush... or because it has actual obstacles? (Obstacle being a large tree, rocks, or the roll of the hill)
I can handle scratches...but...
@LGlx are those the Purple lizard maps?
Right now I just have the ones from the Forest service.. so I have to look at one with the sites and one with the more detailed map.
I was hoping to have the full set by now, but I haven't ordered them yet.
I love reading maps as much as I love camping...
I have no 1st hand experience yet with the campsites. I have read a few threads on this and other sites that have a decent description of them.
My first scouting trip into the area will be to see the campsites. My issue is, I can not decide if I will be taking our travel trailer or doing just...
They are close enough. Just spread out in the forest. You can definitely do it in a day I would think...and there are campsites by each if the trails, if you would decide to stay.
I see the one trail says it takes alot of water from runoff. Will want to keep an eye on that too...if we...
@LGlx you are definitely planning on exploring the forest.
Longwell Draft is in the southern section, Negro Hollow is central and Duncan is northern.
That ought to be a nice trip.
Any reasons you picked those roads/trails?
Are they from the blog?
@LGlx in my other thread I see you are interested in Negro Hollow Road, Longwell Draft Rd, Duncan Trail.
Guess I will do a bit of research on them myself.
Awesome rig. I have a huge infatuation with Dodge Trucks.
Just for info. (For parts lookup, etc.)
D is the designation for 2wd. W is the designation for 4x4.
Those years they were Ram 150 for 2wd and PowerRam 150 for 4wd
I have owned a few PowerRams.
Unfortunately I don't have them right now...
I will give updates. Right now roads are soggy. There is a good chance for mud as the ground hasn't froze over, although it was covered in ice last week...
The roads last weekend about 45 mins southwest were icy. Since then it has all melted. There is no way to predict what they will be in a month...especially in February.
I am offroad every weekend, so I can give updates, and will definitely give updates the best I can.
I am actually headed to...
This was trail conditions last weekend.
That is ICE.
we have had warm days with over night temps above freezing, so most all is gone now.
But, February is our worst and most unpredictable month. Now way to guess what they will look like then.
I am planning a trek from Rothrock to Bald...

Awesome rig. Very jealous. I have had so many Powerwagons, Ramchargers, and Trailduster. Mine were bought when I was young and thought they would just always be there.
Anxious to see your build and adventures with your ADVENTURER
