    Fallen trees on the trail

How do you guys deal with these types of situations considering they are obstructing the passage of the convoy? I have heard of winching techniques and using both a chain saw and winch combined to pull obstacles clear of the trail. Have you ever encountered this issue and if so how was it dealt...

Who has their anti-sway bars removed?

I've been riding around for the last 25k miles without my front sway bar on my jku. Been to wv back down to FL in one piece. I'd say do it if you are comfortable with a bit more sway up front. Feel it out first.

Gas Lantern or Battery powered Lantern?

I agree with this! The reason I enjoy a gas lantern is primarily because it brings back memories of my father when he used to take us camping. --- Technology is constantly evolving and improving however there is just somthing to be said about an old fashioned gas lantern.

    Locking storage

TUFFY makes a few lockable storage options for under the seats and as a glove box. Not 100% theft proof but a solid theft deterrent... Sure! Here is a link. I am considering it for my broken glove box. https://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-282-tuffy-jk-conceal-carry-drivers-side-security-drawer.aspx

Jerry Can safe for drinking water

I have a white 1.75 Gal RotoPaX can which I will use for my potable water. I would suggest dropping a water tablet or 2 in the can before drinking if it has been a few weeks in the sun. Also maybe drink that water through a water straw or Sawyer Filtration system. These cans are made to haul...

US Southeast Rigs. Beer. Food. Convoy. Camp. - 02/23/2019

Great Question. There are no reservations for this area of Ocala National Forrest. This is not an official forrest camp ground, it is only a nice open area beneath the pines along a trail formed by hunters. I chose to link coordinates to this 'meet' spot since it is a recognizable land mark from...

What is your favorite general purpose knot for overlanding?

I am still learning how to use knots. I know the truckers hitch, mooring hitch, bowline, butterfly and standard hitches. These come in handy when tying down a kayak to the roof rack.
