I am selling my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with automatic transmission and 23,500 (I’m still daily driving it) miles on it. It has been my daily driver and...
That stinks, but it is not that bad and as you said the timing is pretty decent. My OGT trailer sits in my barn pretty much all winter as well here in Colorado. All the good camping is up in the mountains and remote places get snowed in pretty early and don't open back up until some times June...
Nice, I used to shoot cars for several of the magazines back in the early 2000s before the internet killed them all.
That last one was also my personal car.
Thanks Zim. My eagle photos were shot on a mix of Canon L lenses; 70-200 F2.8, 100-400 F4, and a 500 F4. All were shot with a Canon 20D body, so there is a 1.6 crop factor on all of those. Some even had a 1.4TC added to that. If you are interested, you can check out more of my eagle photos...
Thanks for the measurement. I was hoping to find the lights I want to mount inside the cap on a Black Friday sale, but it was not meant to be :( The table seems pretty cool, but I already have a nice aluminium folding table that I carry with me. Plus, $400 for a folding table is a bit much...
Thanks Roloc. I've looked at the Garmin Overlander a few times in the past, but it never seemed to offer enough to justify the cost. I've always ran Gaia GPS on my 10" tablet for maps and just used my phone for the times I need on road nav. GPS and SOS is handled by an InReach Mini. I'll...
I ran one of my fridges off a single deep cycle batter from Wal-Mart (like $80 I think) for several years. I kept it hooked up to a 100w solar panel and cheap amazon controller. This setup worked great for a 14 day backcountry trip through Death Valley. When I was not out exploring, the whole...
I've got another question/ask for you if you don't mind. Can you measure the distance between the center most roof supports for me? I want to get some lights to go in there and thought I'd add them to the Christmas list for the wife, but my cap will not be here until next year.
After my first trip with the Camp Chef, I stopped carrying the rocks for it. They were too much of a pain to deal with. I don't think the heat footprint is going to be vastly different between the two types, so I would just go with the one you like the most. One of the things that I like...
I can't compare them side by side, but when not in an enclosed space, the physical foot print has to effect the amount of heat radiated outward. Since heat rises, only so much of the air around the device is going to heat up. If the fire covers a larger horizontal area, it stands to reason...
The size limiting factor is not as much of an issues since I'm already limited by the trailer on where I can go. Luckily I've done all the narrow trails around here in my other Jeeps and can plan my overland trips around narrow trails for the most part. Everything is a trade off.
This was my rock crawler turned overlander for a couple of years...
It was replaced with this setup for straight up overlanding...
And yesterday I officially started my exit from the Jeep family :disrelieved: by ordering a new Power Wagon to replace the Gladiator. For those wondering, I...
Not small, but I've been using a Camp Chef Redwood firepit for years. I use it as both a camp fire and to cook on. For cooking, I just bought a Webber replacement grate and set it on top of the ring handle of the firepit. Works like a champ. I don't use any kind of rocks or beads in mine...
