I have not done any long exposure work with my digital and so some of my work flow for long exposures is film driven. I thought I would start the question here. In film there is the issue of reciprocity failure...

I usually plan trips around photography, not always the whole trip but at a minimum parts of it. Always a combination of film and digital. I scour maps, weather, lunar solar cycles, and usually tides, to know when and where to go along the route.

Bought, upper and lower ball joints and a new exhaust system and front and rear springs and shocks. (some days I think a boat would be less of a money drain)
Plan to buy, 5lb propane tank and lines, maybe a jet boil to hook off the side of my Eureka stove for quick boiled water for coffee...
Anything you need protected and want to carry on the roof. Think of things that you would need to grab all at one time but keep in crushed and dry. The big first aid kit, I kept camera gear, power center, or a portable bar keeping everything safe and unbroken .
Right now it all goes in bins. But the Boy Scout in me keeps wanting a chuckbox, so many memories tied to them. The issue as always is space and weight and of course cost.
