It may be a better question to first ask yourself if a truck or jeep better fulfills what you want to do long-term with your overlanding. I say this as they both have definite pros and cons. If you lean more offroad then I'd say go with the Jeep; if you want a better expedition-style platform...

I've been toying with getting a snorkel as well. My brother mentioned that my Nephew loves cars with snorkels so I'll probably get one just for him. :)
I had read that turning the ram air around could cause a negative effect on the intake and potentially cause damage. Anyone have any idea on this?
I'm not generally a Jeep fan but I do like the Gladiator in terms of dropping the bed and adding a camper (when someone makes them). It will be interesting to see what people do with them.

Our Walking Tacos version is to precook some ground beef and spices and freeze it. We also bring along tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream if we have space. Instead of Fritos we pack single-serve Doritos bags.
