    NC Piedmont/CLT Meet-Up Planning

I'm going to be in Laurens SC getting my rock sliders this week. Not sure the date yet but I need to be in Nashville on the 29th so it better be Monday or Tuesday. What's your schedule?

I'm going to be in El Paso April 12th and head to Big Bend. I don't want to take highways. Any suggestions for a place to camp of go wheeling in-between?

20 PSI is what the other beaches request. They don't list anything specific. FREEMAN PARK PERMITS

How much lift should i get

For the beach? Absolutely. Air down and your street tires are fine. How often will you be on the beach? I was in Corolla over new years. Lot's of stock vehicles with stock tires.

How much lift should i get

You may not need a lift and certainly not for the beach. Stock vehicles go on the beach. The purpose of larger tires is to increase ground clearance as your differentials are the low point. A suspension lift is sometimes needed to fit larger tires. There are multiple kinds of lifts. Blocks which...

    Awning Suggestions

It depends on the awning. Some awnings require it.

Good for you but I bent my rockers on the first time I went off road. Granted I had no idea what I was doing. I have also gotten too close to a tree and bent a fender. The kickout would have prevented that. So I would say it really depends on where you go and how much you are willing to push...

    Awning Suggestions

Me too. I'm looking at the Darshe, Overland Pros, Oztent, and 23 Zero. I was with someone this weekend with the Bundetec. Which is awesome but the most expensive.

    You tube Overlanding

As others have said lift to get bigger tires. Occasionally it helps to get through things like water without it getting into the vehicle. Remember typically the lowest part hanging is the differential. Lifts raise the body. Tires raise the differential. On the subject of lockers I partially...

    overland expo west 2020

There should be an OB camping area site. Try to stay there. When there you can meet with other people that are going to the grand canyon. Maybe me. I'm going to be in El Paso 4/12/19 and I am figuring out what to do until Expo and then after.

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

I love my ultra swing. 2 issues to consider. I mounted my licence plate and the tire 33" partially covers it. So consider how high you mount it. I didn't mount it all the way up. Second the holes for the pin and teather fill with water. The pin started to rust so I lubricated it and the hole. A...
