I gotta quit jumping ahead of myself

Agreed. I've been learning about trailers but I've put them on the backburner for at least a year. Before I started this overlanding thing I was going to go the RV route. When that changed I still keep trailers on the mind but I need to spend more time on the road and trail before I worry about...

To Chainsaw or not to Chainsaw, that is the question

I've been thinking about chainsaws and don't like the idea of gas for overlanding. The fuel is my biggest concern. If I knew I was there to clear trails it's one thing but to get something out of my way I think a battery one should suffice. Does anyone have experience on the trail? Recommendations.

    Gas can straps

To answer the original question. It depends on the style of can and where you mount it.. You can certainly add additional straps and locks.

    Gas can straps

I agree. It. 's very easy to say people are posers. I installed a winch. Am I a poser too. Not when I had to use it. 12 MPG just on the road. Half that on rough trails. I'll keep my gas cans with padlocks on the straps. I won't keep them filled except when I'm afraid of running out. But taking...
