I got one of these. I haven't mounted it yet (or filled it) but its a pretty good size. I also got a large tank to 1lb tank hose Consider getting 1lb Propane Tank Refill Adapter so you can refill all of those green ones. Sometimes they are more convenient. Especially if you use a Mr. Buddy...

Electric blankets for cold weather camping

But you can't wash it. That's a problem. If you sit around a fire wrapped in it it will smell like smoke. Sleep in it and you will sweat. Hard not to get everything covered in dust on the trail.

Electric blankets for cold weather camping

heating pads make sense but 12 volts on amazon seem very small, enough for the bottom of the seat. I'm leary of blankets as I had one catch on fire as the wires frayed and sparked enough to catch the material on fore. That was 1975 or 6 and I'm sure they are better today. I have a heater for a...

Need help choosing my first set of AT tires!

I'm Running Rugged Terrain. While I haven't used them in snow yet all of the reviews I've read said they were better than KO2's which was my other choice. Come-along or winch?

The problem with the weight calculation is that it is for lifting. You are not lifting wen winching. While the wheels may roll reducing force needed. Portions of the vehicle may be dragging adding friction that could equate to 1000's of lbs. Imagine if you had no tires and were pulling. Not only...
